Your "first" should be special

OK, I'm starting off with this topic. Others to follow maybe less or more thoughtful then this one, but I had to start somewhere.

The "first" of anything in our lives should be special. The first word you spoke, the first step you took on your own, the first trip to the bathroom by yourself and on and on and on. We all have had many "first" in our lives and many to come. Some are good and some we would like to forget, but my thoughts are we shuld remember all. The good ones so we can do them again..the bad ones to remember not to do them again.

One of my "first" that stands out was the birth of my son, now 13 years old. Another was my "first" hole in one, golf that is. But a number of years ago, I got to thinking...yes I can think, scary isn't it?

"HOW IMPORTANT IS THE "FIRST" TIME YOU MEET SOMEONE?" Are we just waiting for our turn to talk or we missing the chance to get wisdom / knowledge that we need, some more then others?

I try to meet people with two thoughts: 1) I don't know if I will see this person again, so take in every moment as if you were going to be tested. 2)What wisdom / knowledge is this person going to bestore to me? I have gotten to the point were I can remember what a person was wearing the "first" time I met them and what the conversation was about.

I got this concept from playing golf...being the golf junkie I am ... you need to remember as much about a course as you can to help you do better on that course the next time you play.

So in closing this "first" blog..I ask that you try this next time you meet someone. And, let me know some of your "first" and what do you think about carpadeum the next time you meet someone.
