The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

Please comment on this. I would like to know your opinions.

You sound terribly "down." Good men can't do anything if they have no inkling of the "problem."
Evil triumphs when the prob is unknown or misunderstood.

Whoa!..... your asking for trouble. of course now that all depends on how quickly and cleanly the good can rid the evil.

So true, if everyone was able to do one good deed a day the world would be a better place!

Doing nothing results in 30,000 children and 8,000 adults dying each day for the want of food, water and basic medicine.

Paradoxically only the purity of means justifies the end,...GOOD OR BAD.

I suppose it could be said that if the "evil men" do nothing , that could slow things down, although it does seem that evil men are more intent on fulfilling their aims. There are quite a few good things done in life but unfortunately, that does not make news that sells.

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little....

a quote from Dublin-born philosopher Edmund Burke I believe

P;erhaps "it is harder to know when NOT to do something and when to do something" (Not Edmund Burke)

althought some say that Edmund Burke is not the source of the quote but Kurt Herbert Alder is.... but I think the jury is stil out on that, either way it makes you think.....
