Flaw of Pride

Well still feeling down today but at least there isn't anything that really has to be done either...didn't get out of bed until close to noon. Fortunately my kids rarely eat breakfast so they prefer to nibble a pop tart which they can get. Thanks very kindly to those who have stopped by and well wished very kind and I appreciate it much.

Of course when I am in this kind of mood it does increase the rare condition to fire my anger. I can get irritable sometimes but it is more so at the moment. When someone does irritate me and wound my pride while doing so it brings out one of my flaws. I tend to make some promises that I intend to keep. Sounds positive but these promises are usually in the form of "the next time you lose this I won't help you dig through everything and find it for you again." And I won't. I've made promises in the heat of anger that I still haven't broken to this day. Unless I get an apology or am proven right then I usually won't change my stance. The reason it isn't a problem is that it takes alot to wear my patience and then to push my buttons. It takes a number of things and it is person specific. Of course sometimes people don't realize this and I find myself in a position of should I explain it to them or just let them figure it out? I mean they are not aware of the force of my promise (like the would since they probably wouldn't understand). I know a number of people who probably don't understand the fervor of those vows. Sometimes it can be character defining I made a few in my childhood which have shaped my life, lol.

I wonder if that qualifies me as crazy? I mean for the most part I can promise something to one person and it only qualifies to that person. I can go looking for missing things for others and other missing items for that one person but whatever is specific to that vow is straight out. I wonder if anyone else places such value on that promise or if I am unusual in that sense? Anyone else what to validate an unusual flaw? Again thanks

Sounds like you are only human to me, not crazy

It's called a promise for a reason, hun.
