IPods cost too much!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, inexpensive, MP3 player? One that will preferably use an SD card.

D the problem with inexpensive ones is that they do not hold many songs. Mine that i have sounds great but holds about 50 songs on a 256 card. Yes i can buy a bigger card but they are about 50 bucks. Or more depending on what you buy. I got my daughter an IPod Mini last sept that holds about 1000 songs. Thats what i will get myself soon. Of course they don't sell the Mini anymore...the Nano is too small and the the shuffle holds very few songs and is tiny as well. The IPod regular is too big...*shrugs*...who knows what i will do. Good luck.

Hey D--
go to the tigerdirect site-- sign up for their email newsletter/ads. Now and then they'l have a no name MP3 player advertised-- with a decent rebate. I've seen them (w/ rebate) for less than $10-15

I didn't know the IPOD's held so much. My idea of getting one that used an SD card was to have different kinds of music on each one.

Looks like I'm gonna have to study up on MP3 players for a while.

I heard the prices are about to drop, because they are coming out with a bigger better badder one in march. Funny you mentioned that, it was on my new radio station on my way to school the other morning. but the prices are suppose to drop 20 to 40 bucks on them. And there are always certain auction sites you can find a good deal on them.

Got one for the wife last summer from walmart.
The ILO has some memory in it right out of the box. And under the batteries there is a slot for a SD card. We put a 512k card in it and the unit works great.
She does fine that the LCD display is very small and the unit is half the size of a deck of cards.

I'll have to check those auction sites. Maybe a refurb would be a little better priced.

I looked them up on ebay, I didn't know they had them up to 60Gb, That's a lot of music. With that much space available you could store movies on it. Guess I'll wait till I can get one of those.
