Utter Indulgence

Believed to have originated from ancient Greece (thanks Romans for the straight roads and the crapper!) my utter indulgence has to be hands down Cheesecake (Romans called it Placenta..thank god that changed).

Nothing sends me into another creamy dreamy world than a fine piece of cheesecake (along with a naked woman). With so many ways of preparing Cheesecake (100s at last count) my favorite method is the New York style (pure cream cheese, cream, eggs, and sugar).

I have had it so many ways that they all deserve their ultimate place on my tongue.

So I ask of you, was dessert is your utter indulgence? The one sweet nectar of the gods that could almost make you smack your momma and wear spandex?

closer{=}Damn!! This is a hard one...at this time in my life {later stage...when the ol' metabolism slows down to a crawl} I don't really eat 'dessert' or sweets often...but I have to agree...cheese cake...really good cheese cake that just melts in your mouth is to 'die' for...with strawberry or blueberry topping...yummy!! But...running a close race for the #1 spot would be carrot cake...a really good carrot cake with cream cheese icing...OK! I need to stop this...or I'm going to get a craving {Great!! You go!! You got it!!}

    Texas sheet cake, hands down.

    (I'm still laughing at the "smack your momma and wear spandex" part of this!)

Mmmmm...Texas Sheet Cake. I honestly have never heard of this intriguing dessert. Can you provide a recipe for it Betty?

Carrot cake would be right up under Cheese cake for me as well OhSo. Maybe a tie with Spice cake as well. That cream cheese frosting is totally yummy!!!

    I never should have read this! Now I am craving the chocolate covered cheesecake a friend brought over last month. It was the most decadent, delicious, sinful, creamy, cheesecake I've ever had. You put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds; so the semi-sweet, dark chocolate covering gets soft. A delightful contrast to the cool richness of the cheesecake itself, not too heavy, perfect texture. I'm ready to drive an hour to find the bakery he bought it at about now!

    I'm also looking forward to chocolate chip cookies
something just moved.... ;-P wow that cheescake sounds good enough to rub all over my body in the pale blue moonlight while howling.....err....ok i've said to much already..

crunch, crunch.
