What's Your Poison?
What's Your Poison?
Yesterday I volunteered to work at a golf tournament, such a beautiful day to be out on the greens and the hole where I was stationed was just perfect, the view of the surrounding mountains and between the players, it was so quiet, serene and just plain peaceful.
The weather was perfect yesterday, wasn't it? A nice warm sun with that light breeze and I really have to say thanks to the gentleman that offered me a little sunscreen for my shoulders, so they would not get burned to a crisp *chuckles* but rather added to the nice golden brown of the existing tan.
So anyhow, back to the question at hand.
Later in the evening, after all my volunteering duties were over, I decided it was time to have a drink or three...one must stay hydrated after all!
It started off with a Sol, with lime of course and I quickly discovered that it was not what my tastebuds were looking for so another gentleman kindly suggested Smirnoff Ice, saying I would not regret it and oh how true that was.
Had a couple of those as well and yes, they were actually quite good!
So not being a big drinker here anymore, considering I was once considered a very serious party girl and drank more than my share in my younger days...comes from all those years of working in bars, I was wondering what the people that read my blog drink?
So what's your poison?

I'm a beer man ... generally the darker the better|
I long for the cool sting of whiskey every now and then
With friends and dates I'll drink vino
"Drink! For you know not whence you came, nor why;
Drink! For you know not why you go, nor where."

My first choice is dark rum...followed closely by scotch. At home I tend to drink red wine and out at a bar its beer. No vodka for me though. I turn into the walking billboard 'instant asshole, just add alcohol'.|

Redrum & coke
Leroux Blackberry Brandy
Buttershots (for body shots!)

Glenfiddich is my poison.. great to sip late at night while I work.|
Summer thirst is quenched with a cold lager.... still stuck on Canadian.
That said, I have always been a sucker for a good bottle of wine.
A new comer to Canadian wines recently fell in love with a delicious red. Pelee Island Winery - Baco Noir 2003, you won't want to share it! Not pricey either. One problem I have yet to overcome however. How does one stock such favourites? The cork always manages to find a way of escaping the nape of the bottle!
