...date, for lack of a better term.

What is a perfect date?

A show of hands for something that includes a big plastic sheet and a quart of Wesson oil! ( LMHO )

I don't think that there is one good answer. Different things work for different people and situations. I have had a great date that involved just talking over cokes. Cuddling while watching an old movie can be nice on occasions too. There are just too many combinations. Of course one or two that stick in my memory have ended up over breakfast (blush), but that alone does not make a good date for me. I think something fun is always good. It should have at least one (minimum) opportunity for laughter. (Laughing is a good thing - pointing and laughing may not be. LOL ) For the first one, something neutral-ish - dinner at a all-American restaurant is a possibility. Once I get to know someone, then I look into something more personalized. The theater can be good. I am getting to where I like the theater - including opera and ballet - and it can be fun to share that experience. (The jury is still out on modern dance though.) Once we get to know each other, new things shared can be good.

What is good for you?

it really doesn't matter what the activity is if there is no chemistry.
Going out for a hot dog can be unforgettable with the right person.
