Take one thing back

Well I take one thing back I said in my last post. I haven't met anyone yet. Add another scam to the list. Turns out it was a Nigerian Western Union transfer scam. Never seen one over IM though. Wierd.

Some of my last post was just frustration. This site just isn't working for me. I didn't think it really would in the first place, but I'll try anything once.

I read an online book the other day. Basically its for people like me who aren't as socially adept. I just laughed when it said "stay away from personals".

Well, I'm just gonna sign in every so often until my subscription runs out. Then I think I'm done with all the online-type sites.

I'm already done with the bar scene. Don't know many people in the area so I don't go to parties as it is now. So its pretty much over. Funny thing is, it doesn't really bother me anymore.

Better to be alone than to look at everything as one failure after another. If something comes around when I'm not looking great, but for once I feel like I don't need it.

I got my kids. I got a good job and am looking for better. I maybe stuck in MN for the next 16 years, but it could be worse. The weather is tolerable half the year anyway.

I'm just rambling. I don't think anybody really reads these so it doesn't matter too much what I put in here.

So here's my advise for the week. If your a shy person and you want to meet people... don't look at the bar or personals and the like. Look around you. Friends, friends of relatives, or whereever you just hang out. And its not that big a deal if you don't have many options or don't find anyone. And if you aren't shy... good for you. Be glad that this is something you don't have to live with. Just remember that there others out there who may not approach you because they don't know how. But if you were to start, you would make their day, week, or even year.

Thats pretty much it.
