VOTE, dammit!

ok, ok, i know this isn't a political site, but - the primaries are in a couple of weeks (9/12, to be exact) and the mid-term elections are in november. although i obviously have my own preferences when it comes to candidates and issues important to me, neither of these things matters as much as the fact that i'm going to VOTE!
i don't think people should vote if they're uniformed about who's running, what the issues are, and who really don't care - so read up on the people and the issues, watch a local debate or two, and VOTE!
one of the things that makes this country great is our system of electing officials who will be making the decisions that affect us - from local races to the elections that will send people to washington, OUR representatives and senators
again, it doesn't matter who you vote for, but please - please - please VOTE

as lucy said to linus, "you can't bitch if you don't vote" (or was that mark twain?)

Now, we just need to make sure votes get counted accurately...oh, that's right you live in a state that can count...*grin*

my county is the only one (of 14) in the state that historically has voted democratic - and phoenix thinks it's the only city in the state that matters!

btw, what's the deal with katherine harris? permanent "foot in mouth" disease?

This site can get very political. This is one of the most important elections in our lifetime. I looked up the Supreme Court last night after seeing Justice Kennedy was in the hospital. Only two Democratic appointees since 1970. Many justices in their 70s and 80s. We can't afford more of our liberties being eliminated.

VOTE!!!!

we sure agree on this issue, blue - i'm afraid of what additional damage shrub and his cronies can do in the next two years . . . i just hope others realize how important this election cycle is!

I see the Clintoistas are exercising prior restraint with ABC on the 9-11 movie............ I wonder what the fright is all about ....
Interesting statistic..... Iraqi's have a parla mentary election and 67% of elegible voters WALK to the polls, vote, dip their finger in blue ink marking them for assination.
The same month Tucson has a council election and 16% of eligable voters drive to the polls risking getting hit by a red light runner.
Where is democracy flourishing?????? I wonder
Thank God for the United States Military

believe it or not, i agree with you! the voting percentage in this state and in the country is so embarrassing low, especially compared to other countries . . . too many people take too much for granted, and only pay attention when certain liberties are threatened or actually eliminated
very scary scenario!
