what did i do?

was i a horrible person in a past life? i'm pretty sure i'm not a horrible person now.

it's a damn roller coaster

first the guy has no insurance. then he does have insurance. then they want me to jump through hoops to get a check. you'd think they would have figured this next bit out before they told me he was covered though.

i just got a letter (yes i do check my mail at 5 a.m.) that says the guy didn't have any coverage for 7/14-7/29

he signed something called a statement of no losses which says:

"if a loss has occurred for which coverage might be claimed under this policy on or between the dates shown, the reinstatement granted by discovery insurance company is null and void and no coverage exists under this policy"

damnit! i can't deal with the time and expense of taking a guy to court when he doesn't have any money anyway.

and 5 a.m. in a dark parking lot is not a good place to get bad news!

having a lot of uncertainty these days anyway, was a really bad arthritis day so i'm confused, tired and in pain, so now i'm also angry.

ain't life exactly like a carnival? the lights are too bright, the music too loud, the shadows too deep and the funnel cake never tastes the same coming up as it did going down.... ok, i'm hypothesizing here. i've never been to a carnival. but they look pretty garish on tv.

Having been to the fair many times, I tend to avoid the fairway with all the spinning wheels and barkers. Give me a fresh cooked ear of corn, the vendors selling fudge, and the village of yesteryear and I'm happy. Life doesn't necessarily have to be like the dark corners of the carnival, only. Unfortunate things will always occur, but go find the next flavor of fudge and share it with some friends. Man, I hope this doesn't come across sounding preachy or lecturey- supposed to sound hopeful and positive! hmmm- simple enough, whistle a tune and look on the bright side of life.

Somehow I knew that you were(though I've yet to actually speak with you at any length). I rather prefer to be kicked while I'm down, at least that way there's no further I can drop! Just continue to flail about on the ground and make a big huge scene of it, like a little kid who doesn't want to go to school in the morning. And then at some point, grab those bootstraps(or garter belt, whichever you happen to be wearing) and pull yourself on up. Or better yet, grab the hand of one of the many friends I am certain that you have. Perhaps one might be a lover or potential lover that you can forget about your problems with for a day or two.

I always am a fan of entertaining myself using me as the butt of the joke. It just seems to fit so well so often! And hopefully others will be entertained as well, but even if they're not, at least I'm not bored... And that's what's really important, afterall- my boredom and keeping myself out of trouble due to it.

Yes, and there's always some idiot throwing confetti in your mouth just when you are having fun.

Enjoy carnival...

Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level then beats you with experience
