so i was at work and the shuttle driver returned and reported to the front desk that the two gas stations at the corner are at $3.10 a gallon and have lines of over 30 cars each waiting.
so glad my instinct kicked in and i filled up on Monday night at $2.51. (i almost never actually fill it up, was just weird, found myself just standing there watching the numbers run until the pump clicked off)
the hotel's legendary complimentary "every half hour" airport shuttle service has been dropped to every hour on the hour and drops off at the outlet mall only on the way back from the airport. it's not even the gas prices, it's the fact we can't be sure of actually getting gas for the shuttle.
things change..... oh how they change

this is just another disgraceful moment in the history of our country. unfortunately these sort of things never effect the bush's, the clinton's, the cheney's, the kerry's or the kenedy's of the the world in a negative way, only the working people that are the backbone of this country are effected by this sort of thing. for the rich it is just business as usual. i think they do this just to control the people and to control the economy in a way the will best suit them. now they are going to use the crisis in la to raise gas prices to 5$ a gallon. i was told that in iraq, gas is 10 CENTS per gallon. if this is true, what the hell is going on here!

Each day we see the gas prices rising...its enough to make you are we, the working class , supposed to pay for this gas and stil afford to feed and clothe our families?? I know that may sound extreme but i commute an hour each way to work, and frankly can not afford to quit, nor do I want to. I wonder if Bush even knows the position his country is enduring with these prices. How do we even complain about it except to one another? He sure isn't listening to us. I feel bad even complaing about this when all those people inthe Gulf states are in such dire straites.
