Gay vs. Straight

Do you think someone needs to be either gay or straight, or is it okay to be bisexual?
Must be gay or straight only!!
A little exploration is okay, for women.
Be bi and proud, baby!

Everyone is bisexual; most have preferences. There is no need to experience it, but no need to fear same sex experiences, either. But most do. Many men fear loss of an arbitrary and vaguely defined masculinity when faced with this question. The polarization of our culture into straight and gay is a cultural construct, mostly created by religion, supported by military cultures, enforced by the right. We either respond to sexual situations, or not. It's amazing how even the most liberal on the political front, or nonreligious, have bought into the gay/straight paradigm without question. We're conditioned to fear same sex experiences from a very early age, and it just keeps rippling from generation to generation. Where's self-determination and consciousness in that? We need to wake up and question our boundaries, where they come from and which ones we choose to keep, and why, on all levels. Genitals form a very small percentage of our body. Sexual resonance occurs in the mind when compatible energies meet-it's not just about body parts.
