OK so here it is..

I am sick of talking about my injuries so this will be my last post regarding them.

Went to my regular doctor today and nothing is broken;however, my legs are so badly bruised there is probably internal bleeding. It should take about 6 weeks to heal. I still did not get crutches as my doctor was afraid it would increase my risk of falling again. I did get a "boot" for my foot to assist with walking. It feels a bit better when I walk but I still have a long way to go towards recovery. The pain is really intense, especially during the night. I am off for today and tomorrow, while I continue to ice, elevate and stay off of my legs.

Thank you again everyone for your kind wishes. I am going to visit your blogs and post replies to comments as soon as I can. I will try to get to it over the course of this week, as time allows me to sit. I usually feel better with my legs elevated but will make some short visits to see you guys. Until then, blog on!

Hope you get to feeling better!! Hope you get beack mobile soon. If you get a chance check out my blog. Its kind of scatter-brained, but you might find it cool. If you like poetic rambling.

hi sweets, try propping a pillow under your knees to keep the legs elevated. Also, loosen the sheets at the bottom of the bed so they do not get tangled around your feet and cause more pain.

I have found that these things help out from all my experience with knee surgeries. Get better soon - but bone bruises take time and patience and not much else can heal them.

If it makes you feel any better, the Predators just picked up our second best goal scorer of the year. Mike sillinger. You'll like him. He'll be a good fit.

Hope you feel better soon.

Take care..CAREBEAR. Do you have family close enough nearby to help you out some so you don't have to be on your feet too terribly much?

I'm sure it's no picnic...but am very glad you didn't break anything.

Chief-I will definitely check out your blog as soon as I get a chance. I am fond of poetic ramblings...do you have a muse?

Fallic..thanks for the tips. I am using the pillows and the swelling has gotten better. Patience for healing has never been my strong suite but I will be practicing it this time.

Tires..that makes me feel great but out of touch. Thanks for updating me!

Slide..I have family that I live with and they have been a great help. They will also help me alot at work. Good thing I have a desk job.

Norprin...thank you for your friendship and your continued encouragement.

I'm glad to read that nothing is broken. Still doesn't make things easy though. You'll be in my thoughts.

Stay off your feet, but we aren't giving you crutches? Sounds like a doctor doesn't it. Got'ta pay for everything!

Want to borrow a pair of mine? I have 3.

don't ask.
