In my world...

Buy American and Americans work huh? Not in my world. In my world, my job goes to Canada and I pound the pavement looking for another one. In my world, I spend my entire unemployment check that I receive thanks to cheaper foreign labor, driving around to interviews. In my world, I am supposed to keep my mouth shut and not tell everyone what company I work for or where my job is going.

In my world, I have to train someone who is taking my job. In my world, I have to reassure my employees that things will get better, even when I know they won't. In my world, I have to sell my soul everyday until the doors shut and I can collect my tiny little severance.

So in my world, buying American is just a bunch of bullshit. Before you make your next major purchase from a supposed American made company, think about those of us that are being hidden in the ruins of Corporate America and the foreign dollar. Am I bitter? No. I am just a product of the GW generation...

Personally, I think you should feel proud that your congressmen and senators just voted a tax break that will save those who make over a million a year an average of $42,000 each. And the money your company will save by sending your job out of the country will provide campaign contributions to get them reelected.

It makes me sick every time the bastard crows about how the economy is getting better.

I can't say much for your current situation, but what I can tell you is I'm making 10 to 15K more a year than the years I voted for Clinton.

Back in the Clinton days, I payed $2108 in taxes. This year, with capital gains included, I paid $1467. I am single and don't enjoy the huge tax breaks married people get. So to say it is the rich people who are getting the tax breaks just isn't true and is lacking in facts.

But this is a state to state situation. It is what I try to teach people all the damn time. You cannot blame a situation like you are dealing with on GW.

Blame it on the governor of your state.

A prime example is I live in Jersey. Sales tax on everything you buy. Guess what folks, anything I purchase that is over 1K I take a drive down Route 295 to Delaware where sales tax is Zero. And then the socialist scum leaders of this state have the nerve to ask you on your income tax if you have bought goods out of state, and to add the NJ tax!!!!!LOL Now that's a Demorat,Baby!!!!

The city of Philadelphia is pushing businesses out, not just by local taxes, but charges for this and that permit. It's ridiculous. And then we get to the Socialist Republic of New Jersey. You can't take a piss without being surcharged or taxed.

Living as a Libertarian I see liberals see it so easy to attack GW Bush. And let me tell you, there is much to attack. But at the same time it is very important for each separate situation you are being truthful at who is at fault.

For instance Katrina. New Orleans??? The mayor these dumb assed morons just re-elected was sitting in a luxury hotel room instead of being down with the people at the stadium???? But Bush gets the blame from the brain dead liberals???? It is blatant ignorance of our political process and the way our country is structured. But when the press is so biased and socialist, people who don't dig and aren't news junkies like I get misled.

The fact is it isn't the federal governments job to do the work that needed to be done. IT was the local and state officials. The feds shouldn't even be thought of within a 5 to 6 days in disaster. It is the sovereign state that is responsible.

So what I ask you is take some time to check out what is going on in your state. Are your local representatives and governor making your state a place a business would ..... or in fact could do business????

Or are they being taxed and permitted to the max that make it unrealistic to survive???

That is what is going on. Has nothing to do with GW. IF these millionaires were getting all these tax cuts, why on earth would they move to a socialist republic like Canada???

Just doesn't make sense???

My guess it is Socialists living under the guise of Democrat, and taxing and permitting and surcharging your company out.

As for Bush, like my bumper sticker says, "Don't Blame ME, I Voted Libertatrian. And it ain't no different for people that would vote a scumbag like Kerry in.

People in this country need to get back to the basics, and realize nothing is gaurenteed. Not your home, not your job, not the clothes on your back. And when you reach that point, I say get out of America and move to France or Canada.

This in fact could be a blessing in disguise. Because it will push you to be your best. A company that would move to a socialist country wasn't working for anyway.

I understand it is scary. I've been is the same spot. In fact I lived in the woods for two months. You just keep pushing and your skills will find you a job. Be rest assured other companies know what's happening and have lousy employees the need to be rid of. They know your out there.

You can do it girl!!!! Fight the Fight lady!!!!!

Bigger and better things are your fate!!!!

That Rico promises. All my positive energy's are focused on you !!!

Yeah, I knew my sense of pride was misplaced. After all, I still hold out the belief that one day this world will get better.

I just saw a segment on GMA regarding the economy and how it is improving. I will agree it is improving when I don't feel everytime I go to the gas pump.

Thank you for the positive energy as well as the thoughtful response. I can't say I agree that GW can't be blamed. After all, he has taken more vacation days than other any president. Meanwhile, our soldiers are dying and the gas pumps are us. I do know there is blame to be assigned to other representatives but I do feel the overall issue trickles down.

I happen to live in a state where state tax is not charged. I am only holding my breath that this doesn't change. I do pay more than the average sales tax though so it all evens out. Meanwhile, my tax money goes to finding Jimmy Hoffa.

Unfortunately for me, my job is much like but far less important the GW's. That is there is no true day offs. But the reality is in the presidency, there is truly no such thing as a day off, a vacation, or a personal day. It's just a matter of if he is at the whitehouse, his farm, or elsewhere. But if anyone thinks he get's a vacation like a regular person where he can turn off his cell and forget about the world, they are wrong.

And that goes for any and all presidents. That job is 24/7, 365 days a year. They say he's on vacation because he is at the ranch instead of the whitehouse. Still has all his advisors and most if not all od his cabinet with him unless they are about the world taking care of business.

See that's just where you really have to watch and listen and use your common sense when you read and hear what the press says in this country. Because 95 percent of them are socialist phonies who spend their lives lying to America. That's what made me laugh when that whack job mother who is turning her son's death in Iraq into a money making career stood outside his farm waving signs. What a disgraceful display of ignorance. Oh God, it just makes me want to puke.
