"What are you looking for?"

This seems to be the inevitable question that everybody asks. It's such a tough question to answer. The scope of possibilities of what you may be looking for is enormous. Besides, most of the time, I don't think we actually know that we were looking for something unitil we find it. Whenever I get asked that question...I never know what to say. There are so many qualities that I find desireable in a person. Do I expect to find them all wrapped up in a neat little package? Of course not. Maybe a better question to ask is ..."What are you NOT looking for?" I think most of us know the answer to that one without even thinking.

Hi blondie,

The question does hit me in the face when asked. Why? Not because
I don't know. To the contrary, I know what I want. I alwasy balk
at the question because I am afraid the person posing the question
won't like my answer. Afraid I will damage any opportunity to
have a relationship.

I agree with you on the scope of possiblilities. There are so many
cateogories as well. Are we talking about the sexual realm?
personality? Monetary Status?

Then there is the flip side of the coin. Do I feel I deserve the
person who has what I am looking for? And does that change what I
am looking for in a person?

I have noticed that you are on-line late at night and live in
Lafayette. If you are interested in conversation sometime,
