Winks from premium members

I have to talk bout this b/c it bothers me. When I was a standard member I had to use winks to try and get the attention of other members, usually without success. That was the primary reason I became a premium member, to be able to initiate messages to others to check out the possibility of a connection.
What bothers me are the premium members who send winks to me. What's that? If they are interested in a possible connection a simple "Hello, I'm interested" or description of what they are looking for or something is easy to do and I'm pleased to respond. Just a wink makes me suspicious of them. Are they unable to write complete sentences? Are they so uninterested they can't be bothered writing a sentence? Are they so lazy that they broadcast winks to lots of members hoping for a hit?
Anyway, it puts me off and I don't respond to premium winks. So don't wink me, just a 4 word note, eg, "Hi, let's chat", is enough for me.

I am such a one as you are asking about here. I wink instead of e-mail in two cases. The first is a case where I do not match a profile in the what they are looking for very well. I have found many people get mad when I e-mail them and I don't match their ideal person profile very well. They even send e-mail pointing this out some times. So, I'm just hoping that I will find that they are not so set in what they are looking for, and I don't wish to bother them with a full e-mail. Just a wink so that they will know that i'm interested. Then they can view my profile a reply if they are interested, or not reply if they are not interested.

The second case is caused by the complaints I read about "why do you send me an e-mail without being specific about why you chose to send one to me" cases. In many cases the profiles here are so sketchy that you can not really tell what a person is like or what they are looking for, so rather than send a generic,"I don't know anything about you" e-mail, I just send a wink.

Unfortunately "Hi let's chat" offends some people so I don't send that type of introductory e-mail very often. It's an example of the second type I describe above.

Of course there some people of the "if uyou thros enough sh*t against the wall some will stick" type out there sending winks to every one.

I haven't decided which is worse, the winks from people that I as a standard member can't follow up on, or the emails from guys that are coming in from out of town and want to get together at their hotel (I can give them directions to where the hookers hang out, that's all they'll get from me) or the emails with their phone number as first contact. Ummm...obviously there are a lot of people on this site that are very lacking in communication skills.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

This is a reply to "i heart cock2". You got me. I have become so accustomed to corresponding with men that I forgot there is more than 1 gender on AdultFriendFinder. I must admit whenever I get a wink from a female I always respond with a message regardless of membership status. They are rare and too important to ignore since I have always been eager to hook up with a gal. But I learned quickly that it won't happen on AdultFriendFinder so I am left with male hookups and the messaging required to make that happen. And that was what I was actually complaining about. Guys and their messaging habits. So thanks for the reminder that for me women are a whole diffferent subject, sex wise and other wise.
