Humidity and Exercise

The two do NOT go well together!

I babysat my two nieces today. On my walk I decided to push the 18 month old in the stroller while the five year old walked beside us. The route I take is uphill and downhill, paved and gravel road both.

I usually walk the mile there, making 4 laps up and down the road and around a building that's there. Today while pushing the stroller I could only do two laps. Hubby watched the kids while I finished walking without the stroller. When I finished I was dripping wet....but I FINISHED!

I thought back to this time last month. I doubt if I could have made it one lap with the stroller. I am making progress. It's exciting, but sometimes I get overly anxious and want instant success.

Good for you, but be careful in weather like this.
I just couldn't bring myself to do it today.

I did laundry and hung it outside and was pooped but thats partly due to decreased liver function-I don't have a lot of energy anyway.
I did perform very well on the nap portion of the exam.

LOL...I can pass those exams perfectly too jay!!

I think I will be more cautious as long as the heat is here

But I have a treadmill upstairs I can practice on...out of the heat!

It's good to have a "Plan B" for when the weather doesn't cooperate. A treadmill or stationary bike works great. Glad you were able to do as much as you could. Just be sure to stay hydrated.

Go to see you imporving on your distance. But do not rush for longer distance at one time. Do it slowly so you want to continue your walks, and not get too tired.
