Truth or....

Can someone explain to me a persons motivation in being devious and less than honest? I understand the need for attention, a desire to be popular, the need for positive reinforcement. What I don't understand is a persons desire to manipulate others and attempt to dictate how they interact with other people. Some of us (me) aren't that manipulative, devious and controlling. Is there some reason that some people feel the need to interfere with the way other people live their lives and conduct themselves? I just don't get it....Neither the motivation to be that manipulative or the need & motivation to insert myself into someone elses life and head...WHY??

Don't let your past dictate who you are but let it part of who you will become.

I think it's a control thing. Esp when they can't control what they'd like to in their own lives.

Ok,think of the movie "GOODFELLOWS". Ok,got it? Good!

Who did this to you! Does this person have a name? Were,Were does this person hang out?

You want for me and da boyz ta take care of this "Problem"?

Well, enought for the comic side of things.

I grew up with a father who acted(still does) like that.Has to be in total controll.Mind you there were no LIES,but a lot of "INPUT" on how things were and are to be done.

It was a very hard childhood and in my adult life i do recognize it in others.

I my self am controlling in a way.I bend over backwards to keep it to an area that involves my work.I strive not to inmpart any manipulation on any one(s) life on a personal level.

I may not be a expert on the matter I.E; PhD,but i can imagine it is a pathological dis-order from child hood due to an earlier abuse, most likely by the mother not giving the attention needed by the child.

Now as an adult, this individual is acting as "THE MOTHER"(in their mind) to others in their manipulations and actions.

Have you tried asking that person? Nothing better than just being blunt and honest. I hate seeing people being manipulated for someone else's amusement. It happens at work all the time.

Ah yes, the Personality Artist.
Always setting people where they want them like nic-nacs on their self absorbed shelf. I believe most of us manipulate in certain situations to a certain degree, but some are just manipuhalics.

I could never explain the "whys" cuz I don't get it.

I just have no part of it. But thats me.
