Fake accounts

I wonder how many of the accounts on AdultFriendFinder are fakes. If you look at some of the handles, there's a definite pattern to the bogusness -- typically a word, then 4 digits, then another word.

Also, if you happen to head out of town and do a search for women in that area, you'll find a LOT of the same photos being used for multiple women.

I think there are a few ways you can tell if the profile is a phony:

1. photo resolution

If it looks like a professional model's photo, then chances are it is and it's not her on the other end of the picture.

2. photo content

If the woman is a 10 and using AdultFriendFinder because they have problems getting laid in real life, then chances are it's not a real profile.

3. replies

I'm sure that just by sheer numbers, women are bombarded with requests from men -- winks, emails, hotlists adds, etc. I try to answer each one personally, even if we're not a good fit (and that includes gay and bi men asking if I want my dick sucked). If you fire off an email and never hear back, chances are she's fake.

4. multiple cities

I've tried using AdultFriendFinder when travelling and when doing searches see the exact same photos in different markets as I do in the Detroit area. So either the Detroit profile is someone using another person's photo, or they're ALL fakes. I haven't been spammed (that I know of) when some women ask for personal email addresses, so I can't attest to any porn site spam, etc.

That's all for now, the rest of the story soon (I swear).

well, i would agree with alot of them except for one. if you fire off an email and never hear back then chances are she is real. if she were a fake person then most likely she would be running a porn site and want members, so if you sent an email to that person they would definitely respond to get you to their site. Let me give you an example of why I used to not respond to profiles:

this afternoon i got an email from a guy. and i was not interested, he didnt look my type..well me being soft hearted and not wanting to offend him, i used the quick reply and said that i was not seeing new people right now. well, i got a smart ass remarked email back saying this "ok, then go update your profile TITLE to reflect that"

that is exactly the reason why i used to not respond, seems like everytime i do i get some funky ass email back from a guy, like that one. But i have decided to at least use the quick reply...regardless, that way they cant say that i am fake or rude...but i think alot of women still just dont reply unless they are interested, cause some women gets lots of emails and it can be hard to keep up with.

also, i have another profile too. but it has the same exact criteria that this one does, same info and location and all. i have it cause i was afraid one day that AdultFriendFinder's servers would have another shit fit and i wouldnt be able to log in, which has happened to me before, and plus i cant go into the chat rooms if i have updated my profile, at least not until it has been approved. so this way i can still chat.

thanks to everyone for your comments so far!

it does make it difficult, you're right about that. i'm sure that there are men who are frustrated with the lack of response, which is probably what generated their blog post. mine is just an observation, not frustration

and damn i wish i had a professional lighting studio and photographer... anyone care to help?
