Standard Members

Have you ever noticed how many standard members there are on here? Ever noticed that they look like models or just REALLY good looking and young?

Then have you noticed that the only way for them to contact you is for you to pay 20 bucks a month on top of what you already pay for the gold or silver membership?

Its almost like the people running AdultFriendFinder are submitting BS profiles in hopes of roping more people to pay the high costs for the options.

RE-your first paragraph, not all of them

RE- the rest of the post, you're quite the clever boy, aren't you?

Standard members have just as much right to be here as anyone else.
There are some very great people here that are standard members,, just the same as there are jerks that are paying members.

I'm not complaining that standard members shouldn't be here, I'm just saying that it's ironic that there are SOOOO many of them, and SO many more join daily that just happen to live in my town/city BUT AdultFriendFinder charges members an additional 20 bucks a month to be able to communicate with them. Then they tell you if someone asks or tells you their Yahoo IM or MSN Id to report them because it "could" be a hacker or something. but in all reality they are afraid of losing the 20 bucks a month!

Do standard members have to pay to communicate with Silver/Gold members?

Not all standard members are the same. But there are obviously fake and scam profiles here.

>>>Katey... have you written about the fake profiles? I'm curious about who that top blogger might be who you say is a website creation. Even my suspicious mind never suspected.

Ok, I just found something else that is irratating. We all the the email daily telling us now many new members are matches for us. It just kills me that when I go take a look at what new "spam" is out there, I end up seeing the same accounts over and over again. If I look in my area for women, it lists out about 8600 of them. If I narrow down to my age group, there pops up like 1000 postings. However go through them and count how many are doubles or click on a few and see how many you find with the profiles removed.

Maybe I should just go check out the refund policy!?

People always say that, and it's just not true. I've been here for 4 solid years and never seen an intentional set of fake profiles.

Those who work for the site do have test profiles - the test ones are needed to access the sites and make sure they are working. Some of the AdultFriendFinder people use their test profiles for real purposes.

I've met quite a few people from these sites. Mostly from alt, I'll admit, but still.

So believe me if you wish, or not, but I'm pretty darn honest and I say that what the original poster is proposing is just not happening.

Well if its not AdultFriendFinder then it's another 3rd party. I contacted about 5 gold/silver members and after a day or so they replied, however it was basically a "fake" person soliciting a "pay" site for porn videos and personals.

I think as a female member, things are a little different, as I am sure there are a lot more male members out here and so there is no need to use fake or dummy profiles. There are plenty of males who are willing and able to do whatever most woman request. You females have all the luck! hehehe

Well I just found a double listing again, I did a local search and found the same user listed twice #51 and #88. What gives?

Well for anyone else who is interested, if you ask AdultFriendFinder Billing for a refund on your membership they will give you a refund. It's a prorated refund but it's a refund!
