Why do men?????????????

Why do men find it so hard to buy gifts for their woman? Why do they wait till the last minute?

Even when a woman says they don't want a gift, men, don't you believe it. What they mean is they don't want you to spend money you don't have on a gift they probably don't want.

What they DO want you to do is listen to them. Take the hints they drop, and buy them a little something you have put some thought into. What they DONT want is you in a store on Christmas eve buying them something just because "they have to have a present to open". If you really use your head to think (no....I don't mean the little head) you will probably remember being in the store and hearing things like "I really like that cookbook" or "Isn't that necklace pretty?". We are NOT money grabbing ogres.....we just hope every year that there will be something under that tree that knocks our socks off. Do I know what that is? If I did, I would tell you so that you could run out and buy it today, instead of Christmas Eve.

If they are on their feet all day, then maybe a foot spa, or an appointment at a spa would be great. If their back hurts, a massager....that could be used for dual duty. Or how about wrapping up a hug, and promising to watch the kids while they shop or have lunch with friends. Or a coupon for a romantic night complete with candles and bubble bath.....and you could wrap the candles and bath goodies up with the coupon. Think about your love for that woman, and what might show her that you really care. And men....I guarantee you that you are not going to find it at Walmart at 6pm on Christmas Eve!

Now get out there and shop! Think! Remember that sex begins between the ears for the woman, and not between the legs!

Angel, I say that if a man doesn't know what you want for a gift, then he's just not that into you.

I seem to recall her saying how cute that 19.4 volt drill looked.

Thanks for ALL your comments. See you soon. Merry Christmas.

Angel, you are so on target with this one. I've done all those things in the past. Still looking for that "Knocks the sox off gift." Thanks for this thought.

It actually works the same way for guys... but we are a lot easier to buy for. A favorite team knit cap works for us. Or a gift certificate for a round of golf. We are sooo easy. It doesn't even have to be about sex... though I guarentee that would knock our sox off. We are known to have such primal thoughts, you know.

Just to expand a tiny bit on your post, Angel; if you watch really, really closely when shopping, she will tell you without ever saying a word. I've delivered many a gift just by watching the way my Lady viewed it. You ladies will know what I mean, unfortunately, most men will read this and say huh? This is a world-wide phenomena.

You are a MAN among men! Thats exactly what I was trying to say. I've even gone so far as to drop hints, like "thats beautiful", or "I could really use that". But you are right, most men will just read this and say.."huh?". Merry Christmas!

One of my wifes favorite gifts was a specially designed handcrafyed gift certificate entitling her to collect as many nibbling kisses as she wanted, when and where she wanted them throughout the rest of the year. She always had it with her too.

Ya know I had a partner (before Shiela) that DID mean it when she said she did not want to get gifts! Truly I was raised in a family where gift giving was big and always thoughtful and lovingly picked out and presented. I got her gifts any way and she was angry! Took me years before I finally quit buying her gifts for her birthday, Christmas, etc. Never did break her down on that, She meant it!

Oh and yes I absolutely believe sex begins between the ears, not only for women either! I know Shiela agrees with that.

Highpockets...you are something else. I bet you never neglected to give those nibbling kisses either did you? I thank you for your friendship.

Oralcharms...how sad was that for you. I believe that gifts don't have to cost alot. Just like Highpockets said in his comment before yours. I hope that Sheila is appreciative of you and the relationship you both have.
