"Life has taught us that love does not consist of gazing at each other,
but in looking outward together in the same direction."

What is life teaching you today?

Wonderful post. What life is teaching true to yourself, take time for yourself, give to others you care about.
I agree with the above, the best things in life are free. When life is at it's's the relationships we have that matter, not the material stuff.
I love your Blog...and thank you for taking the time to comment on mine..I'm honored.

angelofmercy5 replies on 3/26/2006 12:54 pm:
Boy! Have you really said it all here. When life is at its end....the material things don't count at all, do they? Thank you for bringing this thought back into my mind.

Life is teaching me a LOT this weekend. For instance, last night when I was out to dinner with a group of friends I learned that Life is short... eat desert first!

angelofmercy5 replies on 3/26/2006 12:53 pm:
I guess eating dessert first is something we could all learn. Except that dessert is often not very good for us.....maybe we should learn that too!

I find when I look into the eyes of the right woman... I see the WORLD of possibilities

Unconditional acceptance

Unconditional love

Unconditional caring

Those things can give me limitless strength

And with limitless strength I can conquer the WORLD

yes, i do think that shared vision of the world is what has made the strong bond between me&my husband -- even tho we have completely different styles and approaches of getting there. someone once described us as "flying in the same direction at different altitudes".

but i would say life is teaching me that what i really miss since my daughter was born is at least occasionally flying at the same altitude as him ... in taking turns to look after our daughter and have time alone, we are missing time together. we have to figure out a way around this...

angelofmercy5 replies on 3/26/2006 12:50 pm: is very hard as a mother to balance that time. But, from experience....take the time to be together. The greatest gift you can give your daughter is to show her your commitment to your husband. If I know will find a way to balance that!

I have learned over all these years, to look for what is inside the heart. Outside beauty is nice but that inner beauty is the real thing. Today, I have learned nothing yet but the day is still young.

angelofmercy5 replies on 3/26/2006 4:40 pm:
Highpockets....and that is a good lesson. The most beautiful person can have the blackest and meanest heart in the world. You've got to look at the inner person too.

Life is teaching me not to waste one minute, life just goes by too fast. Kids grow up too quickly. We need to enjoy life while we can Good luck to you!

angelofmercy5 replies on 3/26/2006 4:42 pm:
Enjoy it while you can. I see too many moms working too hard and missing their children's childhoods. They only stay little for such a short time. Treasure each moment.

Hi Angel,
As a standard member, I can't read profiles or send messages. But every once in awhile, something clicks and I get through. Yesterday, I was able to read your profile, and was surprised that you live in Va. For some reason, I thought you lived in New England. Guess we can't get together. Now my dreams are shot.

Secondly, I went back and read most of your entries. You are one very funny and one very sexy lady. Your husband is a lucky man and I hope he appreciates what he has.

angelofmercy5 replies on 3/26/2006 4:47 pm:
Rocko....That was one of the sweetest messages that I've gotten in a long time. I want to thank you.....and never say never!

Well, now there is an apt quote for our time.....if everyone would stop the inward gaze and start looking out the world would be a far better place.

Looking outward....the redbird and his mate.

Red...what a wonderful sentiment! And if we would all do that...the world would be a better place.
