OUCH!

God help me im in so much pain! I don't know what the heck happened. Today I was trying on jeans in the dressing room and I bent down to pick up.... oh the 24th pair I was trying on and did something to my back...its KILLING me!

I cant even say it was from something good like sex, no I have to throw the bugger out trying on jeans lol....maybe im just getting old!

So im sitting here tonight in sweats with a heating pad, hunched over worse than the hunch back of Notre Dame, I swear to the heavens above, I would take a toothache, labour, falling out of a roller coaster over this!

OUCH!

Does anyone know any remedies for this? Other than being a baby !

Hello AMberabercrombie,
If the pain is in your lower back, here's a good exercise for it. Sit on the edge of a chair and spread your legs apart. Then lean down as far as you can and try to extend your arms between you legs, and back under the chair as far as you can and touch the floor. Do this several times and hold it for a few seconds each time. This will stretch the muscles in your lower back evenly. It'll take several days before the pain goes away, but it'll work. It's actually a good exercise to do occasionally to keep your back from going out, like yours has.

Hope this helps.

Bet you never thought you'd be on an adult website and get so much medical help, huh????

Blog on.....

A hot oil massage can help. ~honestly~ It has happened to me, some tylenol and heating pad will also help.

I did that exact same thing once. All I did was lift something out of the bed of a pickup (which wasn't heavy at all) and I must have turned wrong or something but it hit me like a sledgehammer. I immediately fell to the ground and couldn't move. Never felt anything like it before or since. I think I was bed ridden for a couple of days.

Umm I hope you are not getting old at 26. I am no where near 26 and I am no where near old.

I am not dead yet

Lots of good advice above--especially, I think, that of guyinokemos. Don't take drugs. But also don't despair. This isn't about being old. It happened to me for first time when I was in my 20s, and it's just a thing that happens now and then--almost always when you're doing something tha'ts _not_ hard. The most dangerous moments are when you're prepared for some strain that doesn't come--say, you lift a box that you _think_ will be heavy, and then it just shoots toward the ceiling, and pop goes your back. This has happened to me with a light bag of groceries, and while swinging a squash racquet that weighed next-to-nothing. Just be gentle with it and it'll go away, Should, anyhow.

Hey 'crombie....Dr. Crazyman here....now since I can't come to you. There is a doctor by the name of Dr.Cotoia. He's on the Queensway, between Martingrove and Islington. Great guy. I suffer from alot of that back pain. It will bother you for a good week or two. You go see this guy and it will go away in 2 days. He does some laser acupuncture which is incredible. Trust me on this one. He'll know me as "Hollywood". (another story, another time).

Get better sweetie.....

Sorry to hear about your back, I know that can be very painful. Try some moist heat on your back (it usually needs to be applied after 72 hours of the incident. Before that, cold or ice sometimes helps. Sometimes when we get stressed out, pulled muscles seem to develop more frequently. It's important to exercise and to stretch several times a week. Excessive weight can also be a strain on the back.
Hope this helps!
