♥ Fess up how many hours ♥..?

I’ve come to the conclusion that I spend way to much time on line...whether it be for blogging...work....chatting...emailing or documentation...it seems to me I'm always at my computer desk...Hell I'm surprised I don’t cuddle with the damn thing.....What is it about computers that are so additive this day and age..?..What is it about them that draws us to them....When you stop and think about it we use computers for just about everything...Christ I bet you in 20 years there will be a way to incorporate them into some strange sex act....

I'm conducting my own little poll here without actually using the poll feature cause goodness knows I don’t care for it....I'm interested to see if the hours I spend at my computer compares to the hours of others....

What do you use your computer for....how many hours would you say you spend on line...could you throw your computer away and never use it again...would you be lost without that wonderful machine that connects us all...well...tell me does your computer define who you are...does your computer define you...?

Computers ismy job so it's 40 hours a week at work. At home, poking around on the PC pretty much replaces TV for me. But it varies. I can easily spend 3 hours a night on it, but just as easily not turn it on. My average is probably 2 hours.

It's not all surfing the web though. Could be writing music, writing software or editing photos from my camera. Yup, computers are an integral piece of my life.

I'm not addicted to them or anything. They are just general purpose tools I use for a wide variety of interests.

As for the sex act thing... won't be 20 years. Various computer controlled devices are already available that will allow the software or someone else through the internet um... "interface" with you on a personal level...

I use my comp at least 35 hours a week in the office, and another two or three after I get home. Plus 10 more on weekends... oh, I hate math.

I'm a translator and editor, so my work is pretty much tied to the computer. Oh, I CAN work without one, but comps just make it SO much easier...

I think the attraction is mostly that it's new and it makes you think you are doing something, besides typing to a blank screen. All my work information comes through my computor so I spend to much time on it.

I'm online a ridiculous amount of time...before unemployment hit me I was working about 60 hrs a week (most of it online). I'd spend at least another 14 a week working on some personal stuff and probably another 20 or more.

On the flipside, I watch next to no tv and have very few other vices lol

I just wrote in [post 410584] about how hard it for me to balance all the stuff in my life. Basically, I'm pretty happy if I can just divide my time between writing (and blogging) and fucking.

My daughter claims I love my computer more than I do her. Not true but you get the idea.

I spend about 40 hours a week on my laptop. I take it with me on vacation just in case I might miss out on something exciting that happens in Blogville.

Just emailed you some ideas for our House of Fun Repute,

Amber, I'm an addict but with firm and documented enabling facts for my use. Since coming into this era of technological ease with the internet and its many benefits I would say a generous 80 hrs/wk. To break it down further the work/ pleasure-life division is approximately 50 / 30 which is fluid depending on what's driving the week. What would I do without one? It ain't pleasant.>>>itsallfun1957

What do you use your computer for....
School, work, email, surfing, blogging on AdultFriendFinder, dating, video games, dictionary, encyclopedia, weather forecasts, movies and concert listing, finances, shopping.....I'm afraid to go on. I'm totally out of control.

...how many hours would you say you spend on line...
3-8 per day

could you throw your computer away and never use it again...
No way, no how...I'd just have to go get a new one immediately. Hell, if one major component breaks I might go get a new on if it's quicker and/or cheaper than the repair.

Throw it a way! Blasphemy woman!...I've never heard such language from a lady! Now come here so I may punish you. And then it's the Blood Rushing Amber for me!

...would you be lost without that wonderful machine that connects us all...
I'd hate to spend all that time at the library. Just kidding - but not really. In America, Bush has managed to have all library computer activities monitored openly by Homeland Security. Fascist bastards - I hope they all die of something terrible. Death by Wa-tu-tu I say!

well...tell me does your computer define who you are...
does your computer define you...?

God I hope not - it's getting old, it's full of useless crap nobody will ever need to know, it never leaves the house, and if my son ever found out what was inside he just might get into trouble with the law!

So, yes - the damn thing is like a siamese twin. I have so many favorites, hotkeys, email accounts, applications, archives, and music, and god knows what else that I'd be isolated and lost without it. Ironic as it sounds, the thing that keeps me in my house also connects me to the world.

I spent a lot less time on the computer during the spring and summer, whenever the weather is nice, I'm more likely to be outside in my free time. I'm a graduate student so winter and spring, I'm on the computer for all my school work. I also teach P/T and use the comp for lesson plans, powerpoints, etc. But my recreational use is several hours a day, if time permitts, no matter what time of year.
I do go long periods of time without checking blogs or anything else, generally when I'm depressed or just over run with life in general. Great post!

Read a comment of your's on another blog about pets. Give your mastiffs a big slobbery kiss from our Great Danes. I grew up with Danes and Mastiffs and absolutely love them, and we have a big fraidy cat Dane, too. His name is Merlin, he's 175lbs and hides under the computer desk when it thunders.

I have an addictive AND excessive personality, so I need to be careful not to go too far with things. I've noticed I spend hours on this site, reading and responding to blogs. I used to spend alot of time playing computer games. On average I'd spend 8hrs/day on my computer. Before joining AdultFriendFinder I was down to a few hours a week, because fixing up my yard was a priority. Now I'm back to 5 or 6 hrs/day.

I'd like to think that I'm the one whose in control of my addictions, and could toss my computer out the window, before I let it define me.

I spend about a hour a two a night, sometimes not even that, thankfully I don't see one all day, I work outside daily, all year round. I'd go postal at a desk in a cubicle, and actually using a computer because I had to. NO Way! I couldn't handle having my boss hanging around and annoying me. Along with all the socio-political b.s.. Going to the same place and seeing the same people everyday.

I use it almost 70% of the time I am awake during week days since I use it for both work and leisure. I could never throw it away... I need it too much, I actually have more than one and I carry my laptop with me many times. But I don't think it defines me even if it sounds hard to believe.

Ohh I need to tell you this, there is already a lot of sexual things that involve a computer, for one there is a sex suit with pleasure spots connected to a computer, that you can put on and a remote lover can control the charges sent to it by the computer over the internet. Truly Cybersex but I don't think it could compare to the real thing.

Eight hours a day at work and two or three at home. Before my parents got a computer they often asked me what I did on the internet. My answer was always "Anything I can think of". Now that they are on line they fight over who's turn it is to use it.

I use it to do my job, email, finances, writing, researching, buying some interesting toys and trinkets...things like that...

Also, after 10 months teaching with no girfrined and no sex - I am one VERY horny guy so I'm beating the bush (among other things) looking for a woman to help me with this condition, so that takes computer space too. I've owned a computer since 1980. I spend way too much time on it but I ain't giving it up. I'll take off periodically and go out in the wilderness for a few months to shake society off. lmao. But I might just get a small laptop and get a satellite hookup so I can get my email when I'm in nowhere. Makes no sense!

Your right about getting a sex thang happening with puters someday. I can envision one of those three D sensory suits and hooking up with other people in a 3D chat room. We could have simulated sex with... everyone. Without leaving home! We could have sex with each other without all that messy dating stuff... LMAO! And it's SAFE!

I use my computer for a lot... but it doesn't define me nor is it my sex toy! Hmm, now there's an idea... a sex toy you can plug into your computer and "connect" with others. Have a dildo for the ladies and a "flesh light" for the men, each has a built-in vibrating/moving component and you can plug it into your computer for a virtual connection. So that when you are connected with others you can feel them thrust and move. Great way to bring in the digital sex age. However I'd still prefer the real thing - good for long distance relationships though...

Okay, where the hell did that blurb come from. I think I'm sexually deprived - Amber please help me!

Back on topic, I do spend quite a bit of time in front of the computer... for work and entertainment... I probably spend an hour a day on-line non-work related.

I spend way too many hours at my computer. I love writing soo I write, I search the net, I read erotica, I visit AdultFriendFinder, I drool over the vid intros of men stroking, I research, I read about things I love like history..

At work, I can't access the net and oh my gosh I feel sooo restricted! Because I want to find the name of this city or that song, or who originally wrote somethg, I just search the net, without that, it makes me nuts!

Plus I'm one of those people who searches one thing and then gets distracted by link after link to where I totally forget what I went on in the first place.. lol

I don't feel that my computer defines me, but if you look and think about all the things that we have on puter that are not on paper too, that's kind of scary to think about losing it all.

Have a great day!
