You're a loser, baby

If you had to lose one sense which one would it be?

Would you lose your sense of sight and not be able to see your family, the beauty of this earth or the grill on my teefies, or my blog? (I'm just about there now and now they're telling me my contacts won't be in for a FUCKING week!)

How bout hearing? No longer able to hear sweet nothings whispered by your lover, your baby crying down the hall, the ambulance racing up behind you.

The sense of touch. That would make me very sad to not be able to feel a caress, a tongue on my neck, my kids giving me a hug.

Sense of taste? Nothing would taste good. this might be the ultimate diet plan. Can't taste your woman when you go down on her. Can't taste your honey when he/she gives you a kiss.

Sense of smell? There's something so erotic about some men's (and then there are those who just have STANKY breath) breath when he's about to kiss me. Then there's cologne. Oh man I'm making my self horny on this one. The sense of smell is the strongest memory evoker, even more than sight or hearing.

OH and btw, when I put titles on my posting, they usually reflect some song lyric or title. I've been meaning to say that for a long time. I know there's a music gap between continents, sorry Mac

What a very hard choice to make. When I think about each one individually, all the senses are so vital. I think I'm going to go with the sense I've already lost a part of, common sense.

I was going to list the 6th sense, I think I'll lose that one. I lost common sense long ago, but you knew that already

if i had to choose, i'd say sight...

to not hear music, laughter, wind in the trees...i couldn't live

to not feel the touch of my queen, the wind and sun on my face...i couldn't live

to not smell or taste my love, or steaks on the grill, or new flowers in spring...i couldn't live

great post, Mac

5/2/2006 4:19 pm long as I could see, feel, taste, and touch I would be doing just fine.

Hate to tell you but if you lose your sense of smell, taste goes with it. 80-90 percent of taste is smell. Like when you have a cold, you can't smell or taste anything, know what I mean?

I don't think I've seen you here before. Welcome to my blog, thanks for stopping by Mac

I would choose smell too. And I did know that smell and taste were closely linked. I've lost a good bit of both already. Those two don't seem quite as critical as the other three. The world is such a noisy place that of the other three I would pick hearing. At least you can believe half of what you see. Losing touch is just too creepy to think about.

Yeah, I wouldn't wanna lose touch either. I don't know if you smoke or not, smoking can really mess with your sense of taste and smell.

I'm gonna have to go with 50 Cents...oh crap, sorry...thought we were doin' the thing. LOL!

Anyway...I might be inclined to give up the sense of smell as well. Loosing all else might require having my license to thrill revoked!

absolutelynormal replies on 5/2/2006 10:19 pm:
I dunno, scent can be thrilling!

You know I don't listen to crap, I mean ! I'll give ya a dollar if you won't make me listen to 50 pennies. Mac

I'm sticking with the 6th sense. I can give up Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment

hearing. definately. Then I wouldn't feel like punching the hell out of every jerkoff driving by with those booming sound systems in their cars playing cRap music.

I think every generation hates the next one's music. It's gotten where it's rude though. Kids ride through my neighborhood 2AM with the bass cranked.
