No sleep

It's official. I've been up for 24 hours. I'm so fucking retarded, why can't I just lie down and go to sleep like everyone else does????

Oooh, you poor thing, that must be awful. Do you have trouble shutting off your brain? I have a technique that works for me when that happens. I start to concentrate on a special fantasy I have that relaxes me so completely it puts me to sleep every time. Of course, staying asleep has been the challenge lately.

I'm sending lots of ZZZZ's your way.

Mac, Sorry to hear that you couldn't even fall asleep. I hope that you have by now and I hope that you get enough sleep.

Have you had a sleep study done? I would assume that you have. I would be happy to help anyway that I can. I have been known to bore myself or others to sleep.

I always wondered about sleep studies. How effective can they be? They wouldn't work for me at all, because no matter how tired I am, I cannot sleep in a hotel or hospital bed. Public sheets, eeeuuuwww! And having all those wires hooked up to you. I'm constantly scratching my nose whenever I have to wear one of those nasal strips.

I've never had a sleep study, but they're all the rage. A friend of mine is having his second later this month to see if the apnea apparatus will work for him.

As for sleeping in public places, I find it interesting that most people have trouble doing that. It has never been a problem with me. Actually, I sleep better in hotels. (Never been in a hospital bed) If I get a hotel room with a King size bed, thick curtains for near total darkness, and a working air conditioner with a steady hum, I could probably sleep for 24 hours straight. My next bedroom will definitely have these traits.

I would have offered to sing Mac to sleep, but I didn't want her to suffer from nightmares.....
