Life, a Learning Experience

SO, First of all Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there, I forgot cause my dad has been dead for a long time, sorry.

Friday night I saw Trapt, Puddle of Mudd (awesome) and Shinedown.

Saturday night I saw Flyleaf, Matchbook Romance and Yellowcard.

This is what Mac learned at City Stages:

1) There are some strange people out there

2) There are entirely too many teenagers in Birmingham

3) I hate smokers

4) I don't wanna watch you make out, ESPECIALLY if you're 15 AND you're blocking my view while you're paricipating in said activity

5) If it's this hot now, I can only imagine what'll be like in August

6) There should be a What Not to Wear, Music Festival Edition

7) Looking like Cro-magnon man went out with cave men

Obviously pregnant women should go to the head of the line when in line at the port-a-potties

9) I hate cockroaches

10) If you're performing at a concert, I really don't want to know your political views, SHUT UP AND PLAY!!

#2 There are too many teenagers everywhere. I propose we keep them all in one city (Cleveland perhaps) and they can move among the General Population when they turn 18.

You got to see some good bands! Very cool. I agree with you entirely about some of your observations, especially 3, 6, 8, 9 and 10.

Rock on!

and you can see everyone who was there

last night was sorta Jimmy Eat World wanna be night.

Friday was better

plus you have to understand that the only "metal band" songs I really like are the ballads.

I gotta agree with most of your list except #2 ...they just might be putting the money for Social Security when I get around to needing it ...more kids dang it, I don't want to have to work to the grave ... though I'm sure as hell not going to count on SS for much either.... ...hey, maybe it'll be enough to buy a tank of gas for #10 - RIGHT ON!!!

Sounds like you enjoyed being out among the 'little people'. LOL

Just wasn't enough of a line-up for me to go. I preferred the bands at the Crawfish Boil better.
