I'm rude, no not nude, rude!

I got in trouble at work today because I really dislike the place. I work from 7ish to 4ish. Today I requested to work in triage because I have plans tonight and I WANTED to go shopping but of course didn't get to because I didn't get to leave on time. I was rude to my boss. I tend to think of her as my friend but, no, she's my boss and I was abrupt with her on my way out the door. She called me a lil while ago and asked me what was wrogn with me. I told her I was supset because I didn't get to leave on time. She said well you know you don't get to leave until 415 anyway. You work a 9 hour shift she says. Yeah I know I'm thinking. I'm upset with myself for snapping at her.

I'm going to the comedy club tonight with my friend Rocky, going to see Rodney Carrington. Rocky is hurt, he hurt his back at work about 3 weeks ago and they have him off this week. I was fussing at him, telling him that he shouldn't go that his back would feel better if he stayed at home etc. He said, you don't get it, this guy is on my list of comedians to see before I die. Which makes me really wonder just how bad his back is hurting, does he think he's gonna die sometime soon so he's gott see this comedian now? YIKES! Nah. He'll be sorry cause he's gonna laugh and then it'll hurt. Sux to be him!

I occasionally snap at people, too, and sometimes when I'm annoyed about something else. Have found a sincere, brief apology (such as "Sorry I was such a bitch to you, I was mad about something else") usually works well...I know it always works on me when someone else offers it. The trick is to not say something else afer it, as either the giver or the recipient of the apology

At least the comedian should get you laughing.

Yeah I tried that but I said I was pissed cause no one was there to relieve me, perhaps I could tell her I'm cranky cause I'm not gettin' any?

We all say things we regret sometimes.

perhaps I could tell her I'm cranky cause I'm not gettin' any?
Would that work with her? Might be worth a try.

I hope you like the comedian better than you liked the Larry the Cable Guy movie.

I think it was more my mannerisms thatn what I said. I was acting like a brat, I'll apologize further tomorrow. I'll leave out the not getting any comment.

I smiled when I read "my boss" and "my friend"
in the same sentence. This is tricky business. When we develop a friendly relationship with someone with whom we do business, it does not mean that they are our friends, in the true sense of the word, or that "friendship rules" apply. As I said...tricky business
