Freedom to Choose

What I Miss

Laughter

Belonging

Spooning

Cooking for someone

Doing someone's laundry besides my own

"Knowing" that at the end of the day there is someone to lie in bed with, and just talk about things

A joint checking account

A head lying in my lap, watching the movie on TV while I play with his hair

NOT using condoms

What I Don't Miss

Being disappointed again

Snoring

A joint checking account

Seat up

Knowing at the end of the day, there is someone to lie in bed with and I'll have to listen to more of his bullshit

All that whiskery stuff in the sink after he shaves

Having the power turned off because he spent all the money (see joint checking account) BEFORE he paid the power bill

Me, having to see the look on my son's face when he realizes that he can't do anything right in his dad's eyes.

Me, seeing my daughter wrap the ex around her little finger and get anything she ever wanted.

Whether we realize it at the time or not, each relationship we enjoy or endure is a stepping stone. A preperation for the next one. I've had good and didn't appreciate it at the time and I've had awful things going on and didn't realize it because I didn't listen to the 6th sense we all have.

I read Seriously_Real 's blog today, he wrote about hope and I thought that I didn't have any until I wrote this tonight, today, or whatever this is right now.

I have hope that I've been through a lot in preparation for something wonderful. Something that I wouldn't have appreciated without living through everything that I have.

Truly, life is not terrible, although mine has it's moments. Life is good. Mac

Hey, Green-eyes! Life is good.

When you are ready (cause I know a lot about what's going on in your life right now), you will find something truly wonderful with someone amazing. And it might last the rest of your life. But, if it doesn't, that will just mean that you're getting ready for something absolutely phenomenal with someone who is mind-blowingly compatible with you.

Hugs,

TJ

Yeah, I know someone who is all the things you described but he lives very far away. Hugs to you too, Mac

It is at 3 in the morning if you wake up and have to pee and all the lights are out. you wouldn't think that that extra inch or so that is a toilet seat would make that much difference but when your ass is used to going a certain distance before you sit down and suddenly the seat isn't there, you feel like you're falling.

Girl....come move in with me and my family for a week and the things you miss will be a thing of the past...LOL

You see, what you have is what I miss the most, family. I miss that terribly. Miss little people crawling on me wanting me to read them a story. Looking back, I wish I had taken the time to just "be" with them more. My daughter graduates from college next week, cum laude!

The act of missing something is hope.

Wow, you miss doing someone else's laundry? How can that be? Since I was 15, I have always done my own laundry, but all I got was complaints about how I wouldn't fold any of the other laundry. (I would occasionally fold the towels). I just hate folding laundry for some reason.

Oh, and if his head is in your lap, how can he see the TV?

Just remember, the rollacoaster and the storm. Life is what we make of it. And wow, great list of things You miss, miss some of those at times myself. Things will be right in your world again soon enough. Take care....Helper.
