There comes a point...

...when you have to understand that it's truly time to grow up.

Over the last 6 months, I've done pretty much nothing but party. I can honestly admit that I've pretty much partied every night during this time frame. Not only has this my checking account, it's taken a toll on my mental health, my friendships, and my ability to meet "real" women.

I'd love to say that I'm an alcoholic, but I'm not. I'm just a guy that doesn't seem to be able to say no to a good time. I enjoy my friends and really love hanging out w/ them, while meeting new friends. It's just what I love to do. However, there is a time and place for these events, and I'm now learning that it's ok to do this stuff on the weekends, but I now have to take things a lot slower during the week.

Not only is it time for me to slow my drinking/partying down, it's time for me to concentrate on what I really want. I want to acheive my perfect body. I want to actually purchase a home. I want for my New One and I to meet. I want to be more grown up. However, w/ that last statement, I don't want to become too serious again, as this was the only way that I knew before. I now need to find the middle. I need to comprimise on a middle between both of these lifestyles.

Starting shortly, I'm going back to the gym. My regimen consists of working out 6 days a week. It's really not too time consuming. That will curb my desires to drink and hang at the bar all night. I will, however, have to order my nutrition (not cheap), so I don't think this project will start for another two weeks. I will still party one night a week (down from 6 or 7).

I am currently looking for homes as well. I just need to bite the bullet and get this next phase of my life over with. With that, I should probably earn a little more money, so I've redone my resume. I will be networking my ass off until I get the salary I need and deserve.

This is my wakeup call and my start. Wish me luck.

I also need to quit smoking, but have no idea where to start on that! 5 of my friends have done it recently, and it's time for me to quit as well...

As NIKE says..... Just do it
Once you start a healthier lifestyle, you begin to feel better physically and mentally. That feeling becomes addictive and you start looking for more ways to become healthy. Really.

I believe you! I made great gains over the last two years... It is addictive.

LOL - Yes, I've gone to church looking for the cuties... There are lots of pretty women in the gyms these days, however, they usually don't like to be approached when they are all sweaty, etc.

The only hard thing that I have to attempt is the smoking thing... The rest can come pretty easily for me.

You Gotta Wanna.
I am one who formerly smoked cigarettes.
When I smoked, I smoked as many as I wanted to smoke.
That is the truth.
Today in my life, I smoke as many as I want.
I want ZERO.

When your WANTER really changes, the change is easy.
You just do not smoke. It is that simple.

Sending you love, beautiful one...
love yourself enough today to begin to take care of
yourself in a way that looks and feels loving and
supportive of that which you say you want in your life...

Just a little food for thought.............
If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you...

Awww... thanks goddess! I have to achieve that mindset, but I do know that I'm tired of smoking. Girls don't like it either...

The phases. Do you know how many times I've been through phases?

With each phase, we learn something new. What it is, I don't know, but we all learn something from each.

Good luck on your workout regimen! I'm in the same boat. I look in a mirror and see flab, lol. Seriously.....I do. I know I need to tone up, I just need a good kick in my ass to do it. And I need to sleep more so I have the energy.

Ok...the quitting smoking. I am there RIGHT now. I quit last week. I have had a few weak moments where I've smoked one or two here or's a process of elimination.

First, you have to WANT to quit. For whatever reason, the want has to be there. Now, you can do it one of two ways. Cold turkey, such as I'm doing. I don't buy any (well, except once....and I've only had two!), I suck on a lot of hard candy. Jolly ranchers, Nerds, Shock Tarts -- whenever the urge was there, I popped one in my mouth. Now...this happened quite a bit in the first few days. So muh so that my tongue is fucking numb. It's not so much anymore. And I do intend to throw the=at almost fully pack of cigs away (I bought it 4 days ago....that's DAMN good if you ask me.)

Also, you can wean yourself off. Set a goal for each day of how many cigarettes you will smoke each day, cutting the number down each day until you have a smoke free day. It worked for a co-worker.

People swear by the patch system.....I don't know. Never tried it and I don't know anyone who has.

You can do it. I have faith in you. And I'll be here, rooting you on .

Hugs ~ Jadey

Working out is the easiest part of it all! I was very successful in accomplishing my goals a couple of years ago. Email me if you would like a great workout regimen that's actually very simple.

I will have to try one of these smoking techniques... I think the step down process is the one I should go for.

My theory is that adulthood starts at 30. Whether we want it to or not, lol. Twenties are just an extension of our youth. So you're there.

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]
