Here is a great list that really helped me pull through yesterday...

1. We are each responsible for our own experiences.

2. Every thought we think is creating our own future.

3. Everyone is dealing w/ the damaging patterns of resentment, criticism, guilt and self-hatred.

4. They are only thoughts and toughts can be changed.

5. We need to release the past and forgive everyone.

6. Self-approval and self-acceptance in the "NOW" are the keys to positive changes.

7. The point of power is always in the present moment.

Yes aascrompn.... very good list indeed my Friend!

I particularly like # 1 (even if Divinity disagrees LO, 2, 5 & 6!

We all need "self approval and acceptance" and that probably more than anything else is the key to our own happiness!!

Our thoughts do create our future... be positive and good things will come.... when we are in a positive mind frame... we even give of positive "vibes" and we also recognise all the potential OPPORTUNITIES all around us and can then and only then capitalize on them!

Good Post!!

Thank You

I think some people need to be cut loose vs. forgiven; but all in all a rather comprehensive list.

I think we all think about that stuff....
We have the power to change our attitudes at any time.

It's good that you gave it the thought.
Most men wouldn't...
I'm probably gonna get the hell beat out of me for that, but hey..... My opinion!

kelly - I think men have a hard time thinking about it, b/c we're used to always being able to "fix" stuff. However, when it comes to the mind, it's not always the easiest thing to fix. I'm not sure I'm making any sense.

You're right on target! But every now and then, things come along that knock the breath right out of ya, and when that happens, having a friend(s) to help you back to your feet is a blessing also.

It's all good! Men just think they are right...... all the time!!!!
They think they can fix everything...... sometimes, I can, "fix" it better!
I get ya man!
But, on a lighter note...... if you need a friend, I'm here... okay.
Be a man, I can handle it!
~~~~iwanna hug ya!~~~~
(Just me, "for real")
#5 still bothers me, so I did a bit of editing
5. We need to release the things in our past that hold us back, and forgive not only others but ourselves.
People tend to find it easier to forgive someone elses faults other thatn thir own.
marchbrown - Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I know that it's hard to forgive people, but I actually think everyone can be forgiven.
fantasylover - I think that self-aceptance is the most important part. It's also the one that fails the first when everything starts to go wrong.
caress - I actually got this list from a friend, who got it from his pyschologist. It really did help me through the night. All that I did, was post it here and read it about 139 times that night.
elbman - I like your second post! You are absolutely correct. I have a VERY difficult time, sometimes, forgiving myself.
southrn - Yes, it is the most difficult. What I've found, though, is that I'm happier w/ myself when I forgive somebody who has wronged me in the past.
mineiswetter - Yes, 5 takes a REALLY long time. I think that it's important not to rush number 5, as you have to go through all feelings first(pain, denigal, anger, etc...). After going through these, I would say it's easier to forgive.
papy - I tend to ignore the bad past as much as possible. The only time that I remember it, is to recognize current scenarios w/ the former lessons.
