Frustration #2: Out of Shape


I'm completely out of control w/ my diet lately. I have taken 2 months off of my workout program b/c I was just plain lazy. I'm by no means fat, but whatever gains that I made earlier in the fall (2% body fat loss) has been put back on. What makes this so frustrating is that I'm using this as my excuse for not hooking up w/ The One, as my buddy ATLNoonerBoy, refers to the significant one I should have by now. I'm usually a very positive person, but I've noticed that it's easier to accept this as my problem than to address the fact that I may be looking out of my league. However, being the stubborn prick that I tend to be when I set a goal, I'm going to start an entirely new workout routine. I've made it my goal to start this on the 2 Jan 06. I will be making very unflattering, un-sucked-in, pictures of myself to show my "before shots". I will then try to take a weekly pic every Sunday along w/ notes of how I feel my week went and the notes of areas that I feel I need to improve. This will continue for 8 weeks, where in theory, I can put on approximately 10 - 20 pounds of lean muscle and burn lots 'o fat. I'm very excited of how I think this routine will work, but not very excited about having to post these ridiculous pics. This will be boring for a TON of people to read, however, this is really the only accountability that I really have.

45 pounds?? That's huge! Great job. How did you do it? Did you follow a program of any kind?

Ya, I know... It's just a mental hangup right now. Deep down, i really do know better!
