Closing of 2005

I'm pretty certain that we all do this, but it's worth noting. I'm one who truly reflects on my past experiences when closing the year out. I like to take a mental note of the good things and bad things that have taken place throughout the year in order to gain more knowledge about myself and to continually improve. While it would be really easy for me to bitch about where I am in regards for searching for love/partner/whathaveyou, I just can't do it. I really wanted to bitch. Maybe I have a very cynical side of me that keeps telling me I'm taking the entirely wrong avenue? But what I'm about to convey is one of the most powerful insights that I've learned and am going to take away w/ me into the new year. Love! One of my favorite blogs to read on this site is from ATLNoonerBoy. On his post today he wrote:

There are so many writers here whose beautiful, delicate and radiant souls are clamoring for notice. All we get, though, is a peep show ‒ a glimpse of the rare and mysterious and wonderful heart of tender, talented people.

Every chance I get, I encourage these writers to loosen the grip on their emotional garments. Show some heart, flash me some soul, and spread those lovely words all over my screen. Exposure, I say, is safe here. You are among friends who know no other way than to love you. Trust it, and show us your soul.

You see, I wanted to continue my rant about my date canceling out on me for tonight. I wanted to pity myself. I wanted to think that I was alone, again, going into another year. But, what I've realized is that I'm not. I'm very new to this site, but have been welcomed by too many great people to even list. Although they aren't the ones I'm necessarily looking for, or can be w/, they are great people that reach their support out to one another. I just wanted to say Thank You to you all who continue to, "Show some heart, flash me some soul, and spread those lovely words all over my screen." And tonight, while in the middle of downtown, at the stroke of midnight, I'm going to say thanks to you all again with a slight raise of my champagne glass! Cheers to you all and thanks for making my year! I truly am very grateful for having all of you support me in my seemingly endless quest of searching for my One.

Caressmewell sent me over. Well, her blog did. And it appears that you are already part of our inbred gang, as I in turned referenced your great comments on Noonerboy's site and lo and behold - your post is quoting my adopted kid brother.

And since he always says what I want to say and generally arrives first, you are now getting my standard comment 'yeah, what Noonerboy said.'

Except that I WOULD kiss you goodnight (or at least on the forehead, as I'm old enough to be your mother, lol )

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

Nooner - I was thinking it's like keeping a journal. Except, since I'm a computer guy, I never write anything down. This gives me my chance to actually write down what I'm thinking, etc. That's why I love to blog. It's my release. I'm really not too concerned w/ what others think or say. I'll look for that email. I guess I'll live w/out the kiss.

1hotwahine - You have quite a task if you've adopted NoonerBoy! I don't envy you in the least. He's one cool cat (don't ever tell him though). I would accept your kiss in any form you'd like to deliver it! Thanks for stopping by!
