Whispers From The Border Ethereal

This site is whacked. For a brief moment, nothing was really out of place from where I would place my own relative standards. Things were, for the most part, right on course and fine until yesterday. Forgive me if I take a page from Ambrose Bierce here, but I feel cynical tonight. It's comical to me that people actually believe that deception is sound practice.

For some reason, the four images of random women at the top of my "Home Page" are now the same two or three images plus one random image. This is really putting a damper on the alleged affectivity of this site. The reoccuring image isn't even a good picture; it's like some half-assed cropping of an after-school special's trailer. This is why I suggest putting some other default picture like the one to the left in place of that lame image. Secondly, I noticed they decided to put links to the Blog rules and Blog FAQ near the links to check out or edit my blog settings. I get the feeling they are trying to tell me something, but I know better than to open the flood gates of my introspective thought process too wide. Third, the chatroom problem is back. I'd complain, but what's the point?

Perhaps I've been too hard on them. Perhaps I'd care more if they actually gave some proactive feedback rather than something indicative of a passive-aggressive reaction.

On a lighter note, the number of viewers of this blog sky-rocketed the other day. Case in point: I had a whopping total of 2 viewers on my last blog for a couple of days. In one day it jumped to 60, and the next day I had almost 150. Likewise, the number of viewers for the previous blogs jumped to grander proportions as well. I guess I'm glad that someone is watching. (I'll try to be entertaining. Mostly, it's just me being bored after work.) On the other hand, nobody feels the need to comment, so I guess that's ok, too. I guess I get enough feedback for the moment -- well, until Big Brother decides to screw the pooch on that minor appeasement.

This is the portion of the _Anubis Show where I extend some quotation that may or may not better extend some clarity into my mood, thoughts, and feelings:

"By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes."

"What a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!"

Well, I can't imagine why the original post got denied. I didn't use but maybe two words that could be construed as profane, nor was it short, contained personal information, or had human error But anyone who has read my blog probably knows that this is what I was talking about. The only thing I could think of was the solicitation, but I highly doubt that Shakespeare or Sir William Scott need me to solicit their material which DOES NOT require the acknowledgement of a copyright or the permission of the authors to reprint. (Hey Genius, they've been dead for over 150 years or more.) If they think so, then obviously their ignorance needs to be erased by actually reading the international copyright laws.

Enjoy.
