ok reposting this...*sob sob"

Certain thoughts kept me awake all night...
When is it alright to be naked ? What are the etiquette rules ?

As far as I can tell, there are six degrees of naked...;

1. Not naked... Not naked at all. This, usually, would manifest in the ‘fully dressed’ state. No natural colour should be available at this point. One wearing a wetsuit would fit easily into the ‘not naked’ bracket.
One wearing a lubed wetsuit would fit even more easily.

2. Nowhere near naked. Most clothing of note still in position. Some tantalising glance of flesh may be available (most likely a wrist, neck or ankle, rather than nipple or buttock)

3. A bit naked. This person could be wearing a few more clothes. But they aren’t. They are, therefore, a bit naked.

4. Rather naked. One of the most dangerous degrees here, as will usually involve burqas. Never look under the burqa. Nakedness lies beneath.

5.Damn near naked. ‘clothing’ here will involve string and tassels.

6. Naked. Well, and truly, thoroughly naked. Symptoms including a flesh coloured skin tone, and an alarming absence of clothes.

So now I have my definitions set out. I’m sitting here caressing the ears of my Charles and Camilla coffee mug trying to think of situations in which it is ok to be in the flesh.

I’ would say dinner parties are generally a bit of a no-no, etiquette wise. Certainly in the case of the guest who arrives at the party naked.
If, once the party is in full ‘swing’, as it were, and a culture of nudidity would seem to be conventional, then it’s probably OK to strip off. Slowly....
Not just to nip out during the main course and come striding back in starkers.
Everyone else might have changed their mind.

Obviously baths are a reasonable situation, but etiquette doesn’'t cover baths, I don’t think. It covers mainly social situations. So it might cover the bath if Bath time were a social situation. But if bath time were a social situation, I’m not sure it would quite constitute needing etiquette. I don’t think anyone would care.

Oh, I’m going to have to do some more thinking on this.

Nudity…. Nudity…. Nudity…

Etiquette is determined by the parties involved, no one else.

In a LTR, I don't mind nudity at all, around the house. Myself I usually wear shorts at least.

No, bath time is not "social", it's very private.

BTW: It's spelled "Burka"....and yes, I do look under the burka.

oldude has a nude coffee drinking group.

Nipping out during the main course, hmm, is it cold in here?

I've heard there's a buffet (in Dallas I think), called the Muff n Buff, that features nude dancers while you dine.

Naked ....Prefer adam's and eve's costume or the emperors cloths very much. And erotic dinner parties are fun too.

Also a wet suit comes in handy but that's more to prevent the cold then to protect against voyeuristic people.

Where do you rate a hot pants ?

I have not spent much time thinking about nudity and etiquette.
I think, however, that the related concepts are time-depedent
and much related to local sense of morality and fashion.

The Japanese have these great bath houses where for very little money (depending on the class of the establishment, of course) you can soak out all your stress and can also get a massage if you’d like. The problem for me when I lived there was, they are *communal* ... as in, lot's of very NAKED people (the men and the women segregated) everywhere, with at most the equivalent of a hand towel. I was the girl in high school who was so painfully shy about nudity, I never showered after gym class. Needless to say, in my three years there I never visited a bath house, something I will probably always regret because I missed trying a “native” custom.

When I am naked, I prefer being naughty, not wondering if someone else is comparing their stretch marks to mine

Apparently the depth of depravity here is bottomless... don't you feel right at home?

Are you sure about this naked stuff? Is it possible?

Jeeze, it certainly would make showering easier...
