Another Do Gooder email!

I just love the way some guys come off as experts.
I have it posted on my profile that I have herpes.Of course anyone who has it knows that it is over rated, but people who don't have it don't have a clue.
I got an email from a man a few days ago,Telling me to get pro active and giving me a list of websights and articles to help me.
Well,I already have a doctor! I also know how to search the internet. This guy comes off as if he's saving the world. What's more,he doesn't know me.
I also got an email a few weeks ago from someone suggesting that I not use"The Word".
Well, it is what it is.
I list Herpes in my profile so that I don't have to have this discussion with everyone I meet on line.I don't want to waste a lot of time discussing the latest article form the New Engand Journal of Medicine! It just doesn't bother me that much and as the rest of us who have it know, We would much rather talk about meeting at Starbucks or what's playing at the theater this weekend,or something else that we find interesting.
That's why I listed it on my profile. So I can meet other people with Herpes and do something besides worry about it.It just isn't that much of an issue.
I don't really need unsollicited advice from total strangers out trying to save the world.
Of course,I never was one who liked the Do Gooders. They have too much time on their hands.

Hey there..I think it is fantastic that you are comfortable with you who you are and your situation. You are honest and upfront about everything, and no one has a right to complain about that! Honestly, I have no idea what having Herpes means so I certainly cannot relate. I wish you the best of luck with everything.

Well, you have a great attitude, and that's far more important than anything else.
A warm welcome to blogging, WindyCityGoddess. *smiling*
