And to think, I wasn't wanting to crawl out of bed today!

Good evening to all.

This is my first attempt at the "blogging" world. So, bear with me. Although I've been a member of this site for quite some time, I haven't invested much of my thoughts or time on it. However, I guess I held onto it for a very good reason.

Ever have one of those days where you want to just be plain lazy and lie in bed all cuddled up? Be it with your significant other, or in my case, my pillow and longtime companion, Gizmo (my DOG) Well, that is how I intended to spend my Memorial Day holiday...just being relaxed and lazy. Not taxing that one last remaining brain cell.

WRONGGGGGGG....I crawled out of the shower and got online for kicks. I found an email that was rather simple and sweet. Not to be rude, but on this site it's rather rare. I know, I know...I signed up for a sex site with the screen name of wildthing...exactly what could I expect huh? Well, anyhow....long story short, I have had the pleasure of spending quite a bit of my quality time with a wonderful gentleman today from this site. Please, cross your fingers for me on this one!

Life is not measured by the amount of breaths you take...but rather, by the moments that take your breath away. Ever the optimist, I'm hoping that today is a beginning of a long time of stolen breaths and wonderful discoveries.

I have also spent my day remembering my father during this holiday. He gave of himself for 20 years to serve his country, at a great price. During his second stay in Viet Nam, he brought home the Agent Orange problems home to the family. Sadly, we lost my 2 year old brother to this disease. However, he agreed until the day I lost my dad, that he couldn't have changed the cost to him in order to serve his country. So, today, just for a moment...say a prayer for those that still serve us today. My hats off to you gentlemen and ladies...and to your families that sit here today missing you. Thank you for protecting those which I love.

May you all have a lovely Memorial Day evening, and enjoy those you spend it with.
