CT Bloggers, Help Me Ink Up!

Ever since I was 14, I've wanted a tattoo. I even know exactly what I want, and where I want it. However, since I've never had work done, I have no idea how to go about it. So CT bloggers, the Wild Man needs your help.

I need to know the following things:

1) Where you got your work done, and if you'd recommend them, or if not, where you would.
2) Price ranges. The tattoo I want will be about 4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide, minimal coloring if any.
3) What am I in for in regards to pain and clothing options while this is getting done? Should I do it on a weekend, so I won't be forced to wear inappropriate clothing at work?
4) How long does the process take? Can it be done in one session, or should it be spread out? How does this affect exposure and tenderness to the skin?
5) I plan to get it on the back of my left shoulder. Does this change anything?

Help a brother out, CT.

I got mine done in Vegas and London, but I can recommend Danny Williams, he's world renowned and works out of Bridgeport, the people I know who've gone to him have loved his work.

2) Price ranges. The tattoo I want will be about 4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide, minimal coloring if any. I'd expect 100 to 150 depending on the detail

3) What am I in for in regards to pain and clothing options while this is getting done? Should I do it on a weekend, so I won't be forced to wear inappropriate clothing at work? definitely on the weekend and the pain depends mostly on where you get it done, try to stay away from bone.

4) How long does the process take? Can it be done in one session, or should it be spread out? How does this affect exposure and tenderness to the skin? for your size tattoo I think 1 session definitely probably an hour or two

5) I plan to get it on the back of my left shoulder. Does this change anything? I dunno the pain factor for shoulder but wish you luck, can't wait to see it

I got mine done by Danny Williams in Bridgeport, but i also hear that Atlantis in Milford does a good job (they even have a website).

My tat is like 2" and i got it 12 years ago and paid $80. I would imagine $200 for yours.

As far as pain, it hurts, esp if on the bone. If you get it on a weekend, like friday night and appl a&d ointement to it, you should be fine for work on monday.

I think your tat should take less than 2 hours.

Can't wait to see it!!!

I got my last one done at Artifact Tattoo, by the owner, in Newington, I was very pleased with the work and would reccomend him.

It's about 3" x 3", cost about 100 dollars, took about an hour. But price and length of time depends on how much detail and size of the tattoo.

I have one on my right shoulder, that didn't hurt to much, so you should be ok, unless you're a sissy boy when it comes to pain

Yeah, you should do it on a weekend, the first couple days it's a little uncomfortable and itchy.

Make sure you take pics of it, so we can all see!!!
