Your Right to KNOW!!!!!

Do we as Americans have the right to know everything the instance it happens with our public leaders? Dick Chaney show a friend of his and it took over 21 hours for the information to leak out. Did we have a RIGHT to know sooner? I don't want to turn this subject into a politcal pounding of the Bush administration. Take this question as if anyone was in office. I think we have a right to know but not so quickly that there isn't time to make sure the man is ok and his family all knew. 21 hours might have been too long but there was night time involved also.

First of all, this incident was an accident. In the scheme of things, why do you think it was important enough for the 'public' to know before that 21 hours?? I believe there is much that the 'public' does not need to know about.

Second ... read Press Release, more or less expresses my views. I think that while the 'public' should be notified about certain things ... there is such a thing as beating a story to death. It's sorta like going out in the pasture with the cows. Finding where one has shit. One that has crusted over and doesn't stink anymore. So you take a stick and stir it up ... it just starts stinking again. I'm tired of smelling all the crap.

That is my point. News makers try and make themselves the news story instead of reporting the news they have discovered. Have a great day RPR hugs abd kisses to you too.
