I DON'T CARE I REALLY REALLY DON'T CARE

AH WHEN THIS EMAIL CAME THROUGH TO ME IT WAS EVERYTHING I HAVE FELT AND BEING SAYING FOR A LONG TIME NOW. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD POST IT HERE TO SHARE WILL ALL. IT SUMS IT UP SO WONDERFULLY FOR ME CAUSE IT TELLS THE TRUTH WHERE THESE MATTERS ARE CONCERNED. AS THE DAUGHTER OF A FORMER MARINE STAFF SERGENT I FEEL COMPELLED TO SHARE THIS!!!!!!!!!!

LET US NEVER FORGET WE ARE ONE DAY WAY AT ANYTIME FROM ANOTHER TRAGIC 911 INCIDENT... THESE WERE OUR FELLOW AMERICANS DYING IN THE FIRE AND RUBBLE...

I DON'T CARE

This is a recently wrote a letter to a family member serving in Iraq....... Read it!

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it w et? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead o f the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - I don't care ! ! ! ! !

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior! If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button.

Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country.

I am not deleting this, I am sending it on

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." -- Ronald Reagan

Sorry to disagree but if we all felt this way then war would be perpetuated and never end.

The whole point is that we SHOULD care. Irrespective of religion, these people are NOT the whole Islamic or Muslim community, many of whom are ashamed of their own flesh and blood for dragging what is, in many ways, a respectful and quiet religion.

I DO CARE. The actions of one human being against another in Abu Graib are shameful - if I was American, I would be embarassed. Are we not supposed to be civilised ? Their actions make them no better than the scum that are blowing people up. They have pre judged these prisoners and treated them in ways that no one should be treated in this day and age. They are as bad as Saddam himself - the US and UK armies went into Iraq to supposedly help the people, not make it worse for them.

YES - I DO CARE.

Aside from seeing the death toll rise in our KIA's as well as the innocent civilians killed, the hardest part to watch is the rise in despotism. It seems that every little group of radicals on earth has jumped on the bandwagon looking at the current global situation as an opportunity to advance their own agendas. I don't see an end of that in sight.

I don't fault the majority of people in those places for these problems, but the handful of fools with guns that internally terrorize their own. I believe, as is human nature, that most of people over there just want peace to raise their own families in, freedom from oppresive religious governments, health and prosperity.

Victory in this war on terrorism is not going to come from the outside, but rather from within the countries and peoples being held hostage by it.

On the other side of the coin, however, I do believe we have every right to pursue, capture and kill those that would attack us here and abroad. And not necessarily after the fact. I kinda differ with our leaders in the 'nation building' theory, but since they have been duly elected, I will support them in their orders.

I believe that the peoples of these nations should police their own and if they choose not to, then they need to understand that there will be repercusions in the form of being policed from the rest of the world. Part of the consequences of their choices needs to be the realization that if they are set upon by outside forces, the damage and death that results is of their own choosing and we will not help to rebuild them. In the words of William Tecumsah Sherman, "War is cruelty, and the more cruel it is, the sooner it will end."

The burden of peace should lie squarely on the shoulders of the citizens of these rougue nations. They need to understand that shananigans like 9/11 will not be tolerated and retribution will be brutal and swift. If a country decides to harbour and support groups like al quiada, the taliban, hamas or hezbollah then they have also decided to accept responsibility for that decision.

I hate war. Despise it. The only purpose of war is to inflict the will of one group of people on another group of people by killing people and tearing things up. But sometimes that is what is called for. Sometimes the absolute madness that is war is the only way to bring about the peace.

All of this is just my opinion and nothing more. I served at the pleasure of the President for 12 years as a Non-commisioned Officer in the Army Infantry, in peace and conflict and feel entitled to my opinion such as it is. Later

President Bush has very quietly closed the CIA department that was set up to hunt down Osama bin Laden....he has stated that it will be up to the next president to stop this war...he won't.

Twenty-six Canadian soldiers have died in this war with most of them happening since the recent escalation. Granted this is no where near the number of American soldiers who have given their lives over there but they are my country men and women and I mourn for them all.

This isn't a soldiers war its become a political war and the politicians need to be the ones fighting it...send them out with guns and leave our men and women at home.

There is no use fighting over religion...it will never change a thing. Bless the UK for discovering another cell and stopping it. OK, I cant take bottled water with me on the plane but its a small price to pay.

I dont want war I want peace but if we have to fight to get it let the ones who are making the decision to fight be the first on the battle field.

OH YES I AGREE THIS IS NOT A RELIGIOUS WAR THIS IS SO VERY POLITICAL. BUT I TAKE MY STAND!!!!!!! THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS I DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO PEOPLE WHO WANT NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEE AMERICA FALL AND INNOCENT AMERICAN LIVES TAKEN. NOT JUST AMERICAN'S HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A NICE MUSLIM FAMILY SITTING THERE AT DINNER ONE NIGHT WHEN SO RADICAL MUSLIM IDIOT STORMS INTO YOUR HOUSE AND MURDERS YOUR WHOLE FAMILY IN FRONT OF YOU BECAUSE THEY WANT YOUR HOUSE TO HIDE IN SO THEY CAN KILL AMERICAN SOLDIERS. AMERICAN SOLDIERS WHO BELIEVE THEY ARE THERE TO DO A JOB BY PAVING THE WAY SO THAT THOSE IN IRAQ CAN LIVE A FREE LIFE.

IT IS THE RADICAL IDIOTS THAT I DO NOT CARE ABOUT NOR THEIR RIGHTS THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. I AM NOT GROUPING ALL MUSLIMS TOGETHER ON MY THOUGHTS.

AH YES AND WHAT HAS BEEN SO ANNOYING TO SEE IS ALL THESE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING TO THROW AWAY MAKE UP AND HAIR GEL. WELL GEEZ NOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING STILL HAVING HAIR OR WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE TO TAKE THE CHANCE ON BEING BLOWN UP INTO A MILLION PIECES IN THE AIR. LIFE HAS CHANGED FOR US FOREVER IN MANY WAYS SINCE 911. AND IF THAT MEANS I CAN'T TAKE A BOTTLE OF WATER ON TO PLANE SO THAT EVERYONE IS SAFE THEN I JUST CAN'T TAKE ONE ON AND YOU WON'T HEAR ME WHINING ABOUT IT.

OK AUNT PAT DOES NOT GET ON A POLITICAL SOAPBOX OR A RELIGIOUS SOAPBOX OFTEN AT ALL. I KEEP MY OPINIONS PRETTY MUCH TO MYSELF BUT IN LIGHT OF ALL THE ANXIETY FELT AND THE ANGER FELT AT WATCHING OUR MEN DIE AND THESE TERROR CELLS BEING FOUND I JUST HAD TO GET ON THE SOAPBOX..... AND GET IT OFF MY CHEST.

LOVE,
AUNT PAT

That's what bloggin' is all about Aunt Pat - the right to post your feelings and let others post theirs !

I agree about the hair gel shit - what IS that about ? What I DO object to though, is the fact that US Customs feel it is their right to open a suitcase WITHOUT the owner present. Now if someone wants to search my case, no problem, but NOT in my absence. Surely that must be a violation of some right or other. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing to hide (and any fool that wants to rummage in my pants gets what they deserve !!!!!), but I will never set foot on US soil again. I want to pack my case and know that what I put in there will REMAIN in there. With underpaid airport staff allowed to open cases, what's to stop them helping themselves ???

The worrying thing from the UK point of view is that these people were living in a community where even their neighbours didn't know what they were up to AS WELL as the fact that they are BRITISH BORN and care nothing about this country. It's all thanks to Blair and his freedom and allowing God knows who into the country.

Sorry, but the Australians had the right idea. Deport them if they have no good reason to be here and as for the excuse that we need low paid people to do certain jobs - that's total crap. Cut down the huge welfare bill for those that WON'T get off their asses and make them do it. That way we not only stop forking out for these people, but we also have enough room to house the already overflowing country we are in.

Phew - thanks Aunt Pat - I fell better now - think I need a lay down !!
