Would you still marry your first wife?

A topic that often crops up in conversation between friends is the old one of remarrying your 1st wife. As soon as this is mentioned my other half immediatly states "cow". My family all say she was a cow and nobody can understand why I say sure ofcourse I would. They point out how she really dragged me down through the courts, restricted my access to our children and that it was she who ran off and started divorce proceedings against me. Also if I was trueful I suppose she was correct when she said I was never there because of my work commitments. All these points and more come out again and again but for me the only overiding factor is that if I never married her when I did, I wouldn't be the father of 2 boys who I love to bits. I simply don't buy the argument that I would have married someone else and had kids with them instead. The thing is they would be diferent kids.

Also the chain of events which was placed in motion by the above means I would never have met my current solemate who I have been happily married to for the last 13 years.

What do other people think?
