ToO tirED To ThINk

Monday afternoon. The sort of Monday afternoon just made for pretending to work whilst secretly catching forty winks or, if lucky, maybe forty-one.

Quiet wished it was raining so he could've written about the rain pouring in sheets down the window ... and possibly in pillowcases and duvet covers too. There would have been something remarkably cosy about rain, just as long as it was on the other side of the window.

As it was, he doodled idly on his pad, creating abstract images that with effort could possibly be interpreted as flowers, clouds, sheep and, maybe, penises. Big penises. And what the big penises appeared to be doing to the sheep was only moderately better than what the flowers appeared to be doing to the big penises.

And Quiet's mind wandered through possible blog topics, hitting on strings of ideas that would provoke heated discussion, hilarity, erotic fantasies and a whole range of other emotions ... not to mention the volume of responses needed to propel him instantly to the most-watched blog position and Blogland stardom. Adoring women would fall at his feet and beg his favour; men would wish they were him and would stay close to him in the hope of gaining some prestige through association.

The pen fell onto the table top with a clatter which jarred Quiet out of his doze. Quiet could feel all of those wonderful ideas slither out of his grasp as consciousness returned.

"Oh bugger it!", said Quiet.

And with that, he gathered up the tools of his trade and headed off to the canteen to watch the nurses for a while.

LOL! thanks for the giggle, yes i have the giggles today, but i have to read something to get them ... so thanks for suitable reading material (my day involved WABBING (work-avoidance-behaviour) as i wanted to read things that make me giggle, not things that don't (like the world trade organisation and how it hoodwinks poor people)).

Q *falling adoringly at Q's feet*

I'm just a tad bit worried about the penises and the sheep.

Not much...just a tad.

well - I had sheets of rain outside my window this morning and the only thing that inspired was: "Fuck it, I'm not driving in this".

Helga ... Another busy one, eh? To be honest, I'd have loved to have swapped just to have been able to stay awake!

Freelove ... Giggles are good - glad I could help!

BB3 ... Excuse me, ma'am? I thought it was meant to be me kneeling in adoration at your feet! Not that I'm complaining, you understand!

Puss ... Exactly! In the right circumstances, it can be soooooo nice to be locked away inside, away from the inclement weather. Mind you, the right circumstances ideally include such things as a roaring fire and a woman in my arms

Bella ... And I'm quite sure they both like you too!

DSK: i don't know what makes something an official word or whatever, but "wabbing" has been in circulation in south africa since about 1988 -- as far as i can recall --!!

FreeLove ... I'm not sure "wabbing" has made it over here yet ... but it damn well should. I shall add it to my list of terms to promote (just behind slush donkey).

Al ... There are definitely some advantages to this job, my good man
