Mirror, Mirror on the Wall ...

who is the oldest one of all?

Well, not always me though the mirror does remind me that I'm not 25 any more as I tend to feel I am. On a good day I feel 25 anyway; on a bad day, it can feel more like 95!

The fact that I am now longer in the first flush of youth was brought home to me today as I sat eating lunch with a colleague. He looked around and paused, fork frozen halfway between plate and mouth, as a look of astonishment grew on his face. Eventually he said, in a shocked voice, "I just realised how young all these doctors look".

And he was right too. These are the people that could end up treating me should I need hospital care ... and they're just kids!

I already had the experience of training people barely older than my own step-daughter.

Maybe I am getting old. Or maybe I should just stop looking in the mirror and carefully avoid thinking about it!

Me? I'm 25

Hhhmmm... could have sworn this post was longer when I looked at it last night! Have you been trimming with your scissors again?? Wish I could be trimmed as easily!

Old age and shrinkage? Now there's a great pair of subjects for a conversation! Having the same problem I am TQG? Keeping that youthful 25 year old look going. Or maybe that should be...finding people who are willing to believe we are.
