You get out of it what you put into it.

Im not really sure where I would categorize myself in terms of internet dating. Somewhere in the middle I guess, new here to a.f.f. but I been around the other ones. I like women but apparantly not enough to go up to them and just flat out ask them out.

The few times I try this I get the, "oh that's sweet, I'm dating already." Then there is the fake number trick. That one is nice. Then I tried just giving people my number but they never call. The worst is the stunned silence. You ask them out and they just act like they don't you hear you something. It's like "who do I have to fuck to get laid around here?"

I think most people have my experience and of those a big percentage gives up and tries internet dating. I am all grown up now. It's scary being grown up sometimes and I don't need the hassle of getting brushed off by women I would probably end up hating for screwing up my mind up in 4 months anyway.

Okay I came off a little negative there. Really I am trying to preach positive. If there are guys reading this who haven't had a lot of success yet my advice (and I am trying to take this advice myself) is don't give up and stay positive. Negativity has a way of creeping into everything you do and making things worse. Work on your profile, women like talkative men (some do anyway). You really will get out of it what you put into it. Ya I haven't had a lot of success but I know I couldve done more and who knows maybe that would have made the difference.

For the women reading this I would say if you see someone you like just write em, or wink em or whatever, chat with them. We men like it all pretty much. The worst that can happen is that they will ignore you but I bet it wouldn't take long for you to get someone to pay attention to you. And remember there is like 10 to 1 men to women ratio (or is it even greater?) so really you have plenty to pick and choose from.
