Toys, Toys and more Toys!!!

This weekend I took the kids to the Strong Museum. What a great place. Downstairs they have so many activities for the kids to do. They have a play Wegmans for the kids to pretend to go shopping at. Then they learn how to run a register. After that they have to go and put everything back. That was so cute. They can learn how to “fly” a plane, work at the post office, go to the theater. There were so many things for the kids to learn.

The best part for me was upstairs. They had the toy museum. Toys that have been retired: Barbie, Mr. Potato Head, Monopoly, Crayons, PEZ dispensers, they had so many things from when I was a little kid. They had toys my kids have never even heard of.

What are some of the toys you played with? What was your favorite toy as a kid?

Strong museum is great! The kids love it and especially that Wegmans! Boy do those Wegmans have the idea..get em started young!!

Did get a chance to see the toy was much better than I thought it would be! Of course the kids didn't appreciate it like I did. Funny how time know it when the toys you loved are in a museum!!

Wegmans has it hands down. Both my kids liked that one. I have a 10 year old and a 6 year old and they both loved that one. It is so cool. They get to run the register, shop, put it all back, and start all over if they want to. You go Wegmans!!!

We did go upstairs. We spent more time up there then we did downstairs. I couldnt beleive all the toys they have up there. WOW!!!

I had almost a full complete set of transormers when I was a kid, and with my best friend, we had the complete set of those and of Starwars, and he-man action figures. My god the stories we came up with and the battles we fought. This of course is completely besides the holy gi joe action figures, that we completely destroyed when we played with them, even though they always won.

and yes I even had the big city transformers. it has been almost 2 decades since I thought of these things. They would be worth sooo much right now, sigh...I gave them all away.

I also had an atarii game system that I played with all the time.
Laser tag, when it First came out.

I vaguely remember a sit and spin, but I think I'm blocking out all the dizzyness and nausia. lol

Oh I can go on and on, I was a spoiled only child that was first and oldest amongst all my cousins on both sides of my family

Transformers....Those are coming back!! My son has some and he LOVES them. They are fun to play with, I play with them with him. GI JOE wow. At the museum they had a little corner for Gi Joe and Barbie, saying they dated. I thought that was funny. Of course I dont remember them dating. They probably did.

Atari ruled!! Space Ivaders, Pac Man, Pong (I think that is what it was called) cintipeed, (sp). That game system was the best. Now look what they have.

What kid dosent need to have a sit and spin. I use to love that thing.

What about hte inch worm. That may have been a girl toy.

Wow, the toys from the past. Time does fly. Now we are buying toys for our own kids. Makes you think we are getting old huh?

Standard "boy" toys. Hmmm.. Boy toy... anyway... Transformers, GI Joes, HE-MAN. Fisher price for the younger years. Starwars. etc.

I liked the Sesame Street exhibit they had there when I last went. That was pretty cool. It was a neat flashback to all those sesame street shows I watched as a kid. Including all the "special" episodes.

HHHMMM Boy toy? Do tell me more... e-mail me here on AdultFriendFinder and I can give you my e-mail out in the "real world".

Yes, the museum was really great. I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids did. I didnt want to leave and neither did the kids.

*grin* Love to but Sadly I'm not sure how to do so? I'm a standard member and i haven't found a way to send email to people yet. For a site that is supposed to be all about people meeting each other it seems hard to talk to them. *grumble*

PAH! thrantorster at gmail dot com. It's my alt so it might take a couple days for me to check.
