Little slices of life

Today a coworker learned her uncle had a massive heart attack. She had been planning quite a big birthday party for her two year old daughter tomorrow and was planning to spend Christmas Eve at her aunt and uncle's home. She's been under a lot of stress lately and I felt rather overwhelmed with her grief as she sat crying at her desk.

Another coworker shared the problems going on with his eighty year old mother. She's an alcoholic bound in a wheelchair and a very bitter woman. She recently had a fall while using the toilet and found herself wedged against the wall in her bathroom. Her elderly husband did not have the strength to help her get up and had to call for help. Daily life for him is a challenge.

As I was driving home the thought reaffirmed itself in my mind that the whole world is full of pain, of some type or other....and the fact is that the more love and comfort we can all offer to each other, the better of a world we will all find it is to live in.

This is a thought that comes to some of us only around the Holiday season...but it's something we should all remember DAILY...

I do understand, but it is what it is. Everyday we lose a little. The trick is how much. You have to work to stay ahead of the game and maintain an even attitude. Keep the ups and down to a managable level so the lows aren't to low and the highs aren't to high so a crash isn't so far down. ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN!! WHAT YOU CAN!!
That's how I got my nickname,

Tammy.............When you read my blog, did you read My Morning Prayer. ? I try to say it every morning.!! Of all my posts, this one has had the least views.!! Go figure.!! ...................Maybe prayer, on a sex site, does'nt fit, but I see more and more "Spirituality" in the blogs.......Maybe, "Tis The Season".!!

Your "the more love and comfort we can offer to each other", reminded me of something I read last night.............This comes from "Gifts From A Course In Miracles".... Talking about the "Course"....

Peace, like Love, it says, must first be uncovered within and then extended through our relationships in ever widening, ever more inclusive circles, until eventually peace encompasses everyone "without exception and without reserve."]/color]

Have a very, Happy Peacefull, and Merry Christmas.!!

I can understand the pain of the people. We just lost 2 dear friends, one on Dec 5 and another on Dec 15.

We must learn to pick ourselves up and move on. Sometimes we need help, that is what friends are for.

Yes, the world is full of pain. I feel we need to try as best we can to ease the pain of others. Only when we quit focusing on ourselves can we truly help others. We may not actually be able to remove any of the pain but we can help them through it by offering comfort, understanding and love.

Happy New Year!

For what is love, but the one-ness of all things. And time, which in its journey flies apart all that was whole, all that was one, will at the end of time pour together all that has been divided, all that is lost.

I understand what you say Tammy. Take every day as it comes and enjoy that time, if you smile then others around you will smile with you and have a happier day.

Happy New Year Tammy!

Our lives and family, friends, and acquaintances around us are filled with stories of pain. As humans, we've learned to adapt to pain and deal with it as best we can.

Every morning when I awake, I feel blessed that I have another day to endure the goodness and hardships that I will encounter. Life is too short for some and others are fortunate (or not, depending upon their outlook of life) to live many years beyond their peers. I try to spread love to people around me every day that I am around to enjoy my time on earth. Its a greater challenge when the person I confront is sure in his/her mind that nothing ever goes right for them.

Happy New Year and a Happy Day to you!

Peace and Love,
Turq
