I Love Our Troops!!!

Here's to them all today.

From the great uncle that went down on a ship off the coast of California during the second world war, to the father who served in Vietnam and returned home alive, yet badly damaged emotionally from the experience...to all those souls who have been tragically lost to the troops who serve today not only in Iraq, but wherever they are...my thoughts are with them all today.

Here's my salute to those boys/men, and women too...who have bravely sacrificed so much to defend their country, even as much as their own lives, and do all they can to keep their families here at home safe and free....

HATS OFF TO YOU, GUYS!!!

Very much agreed there, Squirt!!! I mean this posting not only for our American troops, but troops representing other countries as well...they are ALL such a courageous group of folks...

I will say thank you to all for your kind words.

When I came back from Viet Nam I didn't want anyone to know I was in the service. The name calling wasn't just on the news, we had no parades or welcome's back. It took over 10 years before people started to realize that it wasn't the soldier but the leaders that were ordering things done.

It is terrible when you don't know if a little kid has a bomb strapped to him, you want to help but are afraid to go anywhere near. That is fact! Women were not left out, may of them carried AK-47's and would shoot any American if they got the chance.

Sorry, this is your blog. TY
