Here's to MOTHER
Here's to MOTHER
From my earliest memory, it was just you and me, Mom.
Mom, you stood behind me when no one else did.
You just about walked over oceans to protect me as your beloved child. You overcame some unbelievable obstacles to do so.
You did not even know me when I was brought to you, but when they did, you devoted the rest of your life to the task of coming to know me.
You taught me right and wrong to the best of your ability each day I was growing.
You were my biggest advocate during those years, and also my staunchest convictor. When I did right, you praised me. When I did wrong, you told me so in that voice I know is "MOTHER." When I was not wrong, you attacked my accusors like a rabid alligator.
When I was frightened by a thunderstorm in the middle of the dark night as a child, everything was okay when I came to crawl into bed with you.
You showed me the beauty of many things in life. One of the most important things you taught me was the beauty of music. Don't you know, Mom, when I hear a gospel song, the first thing in my mind is a picture of you at the organ playing that song???
You shared laughter with me. You shared tears with me. You shared grief with me. You shared loneliness with me. You shared anger with me. And you shared your joys with me. Most of all, Mom, you always shared your love with me.
You never got to be Mom for no one other than me. But that did not stop you. Do you realize, that you have been "MOM" for many more in other ways, more than you can ever know? I know, because others have often told me so.
Today, Mom, I feel sad for those who do not have a mother to tell how much they love them. But today, Mom, I thank God that you are here so I can tell you how very much I love you!!!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Help me here...|
That was BEAUTIFUL, but how in the hell will your Mom get it.. did you send her the file?.. print it and mail it, read it over the phone, did you burn it so it would float up to her?...
IT WOULD BE SUCH A SHAME IF SHE DID NOT HEAR THESE WARM INSPIRING WORDS OF YOURS... I feel...

That is a great sentiment for your mother!
I hope she gets it and loves it as much as I did.
I am one of those people without a mother. She died several years ago at age 77. I miss the good times we had. But, I never felt close to her or anyone in my family.
I am glad that you have this with your family. Always treasure every moment you have with your mother and let her know every day how special she is to you. I am sure she will be glad to hear it.
Take care, my new blog friend,

Yes, I agree, Your mother is the love of your life but in a different way. When i called my mom tonight, I just knew she would have that little joy in her voice when she heard my voice. Many thoughts came back, And i still say to her thank you mom for making me go to school.Bless Mother, Love her. M|
