I had the funnest time. I loaded the Mighty 1981 Honda CM400A into my truck and took it to the Antique Motorcycle Show in Owls Head, Maine. They've got an antique car museum and an antique airplane museum, really nice too.

Any motorcycle older than 1988 could display and they let you in free. Free is good.

Being in a usual crazed state of mind I got out my sleezyist green shaded sunglasses and got out my alien "do rag". Sweet. There are so many posers out there in a place like that I figured I'd be the king poser. Them on their $25,000 Harley's with another $5000.00 in extra crap hung on it and me on the Mighty CM400A which I paid $50.00 and a date for (If you want to read way back, I blogged about how I got this bike and described it as fifty and a fuck, but a friend said I was obsessed with sex and blah blah blah, I DIGRESS) It didn't really turn out that way at all. These were serious motorcycle guys. Restorers, rebuilders and mostly riders. Thousands of old bikes in like new condition. I haven't thought about Bridgestone Motorcycles for a long time. I actually saw a mini-bike like the one I started on when I was eight, how cool.

At noon we all started our engines, three or four thousand bikes all cranking their engines, loud and fun.

Next day we rode out to this new bridge, wow, it's got these huge towers with an observation deck, but because I had the dog we couldn't go up. Adjacent to the huge bridge in the middle of nowhere is the coolest park with a Fort Knox from around the 1890's. Miles of granite and bricks, really neat. Standing high looking over the Peneopscot River. It's a big river which opens into a huge beautiful bay full of Islands, think Acadia Park, yea that's it.

We had a cook out, very windy, but nice weather otherwise, great views and the dog was allow everywhere around the fort. He really loved running through the underground part being a Terrier.

Anyway I'm boring myself half to death here as this is truly a "lame blog"

Cheers

PRAY FOR JAMAICA Aug 29, 2008 7:37 am

Gustav is on them, they are underwater.

Jamaica isn't like America, resources and manpower and politics and geography make disaster relief there a major disaster in itself.

The poor of Jamaica have enough to deal with without a nasty storm.

A lot of people die when these storms hit, people who know how to deal with this yearly event, but just get caught in a bad situation.

Next pray for Negril. Damnit, the beach was filling in nicely. After hurricane Ivan (I think) Negril got washed away. The beach was six feet wide is some places. Last April, I noticed that a lot of it had washed back in, nice, lovely, beach sand. The storm is on the South side of the island heading for Westmoreland, Oh NO.

Going so well (this is how it feels) Aug 28, 2008 7:49 pm

They were, things were going so well for me. I was really feeling good about my life and situation.

But........

The youngest had her parents night at marching band the other night. I was so looking forward to being there. She asked me to come two weeks earlier and I was so psyched to go and see her shine.

This is a really bright kid who has lived in her sister's shadow her whole life. Her sister is the best kid too, way, way, smart and motivated.

I was looking forward to seeing the youngest get the stage on her own for a change. The big sister was the drum major (conductor) of the marching band for the past two years, the academic standout, the kid who never did anything wrong, the best at everything. Now big sister is off to BU (way cool) and little sister gets to be the center of attention for a change.

Just as I was getting ready to go to the show I got an email. The Ex.........

She said if I was planning to go she wanted to let me know that the "whole gang" would be there and she didn't want to "catch me off guard".

The whole gang, her new husband who she cheated with, on me, on the worst times, his two kids and course her best friend, her new husbands sister. A regular Jerry Springer episode readying itself for production.

Well,,,,,, it was going well for me,,,,,,,, I didn't go. I couldn't, and she knew it. I absolutely cannot be anywhere near this piece of shit. He totally fucked up my family and I will not forgive him ever.

This is what it feels like to be a guy with step kids that you love. They are not my kids and they do not live with me and they are under the control of their mother and that leaves me alone.

Women want you to take an interest in their kids and then when they are done with you, you are done with their kids. Of course there is a lot of talk about keeping in touch and being part of their lives, but they are her kids and kids are busy with their lives.

It's like getting kicked out of a real exclusive club where you really like all your fellow members and then one day they just ask you to leave, cancel the membership and you're no longer welcome at the club. No more fellowship, no more close friends. It's lonely

The kids did come over for dinner a couple of nights later, we didn't talk about the marching band night but had some fun and a nice dinner. I do understand, I suppose that the new husband is probably kissing her kids butts and doing all sorts of things to ingratiate himself and I'm sure I'm talked about negatively around the house.

I'm proud of Barak Obama, but I would never vote for him. He isn't experienced enough to run this show and his dream is a crap shoot which could prove to be dangerous for the American public.

That said, I think he is a good and honorable man. Extremely bright and well spoken, if he becomes the president I will support him one hundred percent and hope to God he will proves me wrong.

Cheers

PS, his vice president choice will surely destroy any legitimate chance of him winning

It's going to be ninety today, oh boy!

I'm playing hooky.

It's beautiful and I worked hard this week so I'm taking Friday off.

I'm going to fire up the boat and fire off my clothes. If I go alone it will be an all over tan day for me today

If I take friends it may be a waterskiing day, either way it should be a ball.

Everyone's moving out. damn, my nice little house party is breaking up. My three unit I live in is getting ready for a total turnover which sucks. First, I don't want any vacancies right now and next we've got a good bunch here. In business they always tell you to not get personal with tenants and so forth. Since I bought this place I've been friends with every one of my tenants. Some more than others but always friendly. I've got burned a couple of times but still it was worth it. The current bunch is all young professional women, really nice. You can probably see why I like them so well, young professional women. Not really, they've got BF's or might have them, but I do live in a realistic world that leads me to believe that I won't be the BF of any twenty/thirty something anytime soon, nor would I want to be except to,,,,,,well you know, LOL I had a really young GF once and it sucked, she sucked in bed, her friends were a bunch of immature babies and blah blah blah.

I'll be sad to break up this party, such nice people, a fresh out of the blocks tri-athlete attorney, who I advise to "slow down" once in a while, a young CPA, sweet girl, drinks martini's on the front porch when we are having them and then my pal on the third floor. A girl who works with my sister, which is how she landed here. We both had the worst year, I got trampled and she got trampled and together we got through it. She hit a really low period and climbed out of it, a beautiful girl, stunning. I'm so happy for her to be able to be good and positive and in control of her life. I'll be so sorry to see her go, she kissed me tonight (swoon) when she left, she is moving in with the BF and I'm pretty sure that she won't be back for anymore front porch martini's despite the promise. He'll break her heart again and I'll want to break his head again, LOL and that's not how I want to get my friend back.

Funny, I didn't engineer this this tenant mix, where it's all young professional women, but I do tend to prefer women as they are more responsible with the rent and they keep the apartments better. It's been nice, we all went through the trauma of a house fire at four am this spring and the trauma of having me move back in battered and divorced, but it all worked out. We've had some nice tenant meetings (martini parties) on the front porch which is always fun. I've never done that with tenants before, I used to feed em beer, LOL, just kidding.

Huh, I have no idea what these KUDOs are for. Someone a long time back gave me all of their kudos, so I had about 90. Now everytime I log on, 5 to 10 are missing, the number is going down.

As I have no idea what they are for and what makes them arrive (I know they can be given), I have no idea why they are evaporating.

If anyone gives a shit and wants my kudos, I'll be glad to give them to you, before they are all gone.

I Hate Them Aug 15, 2008 5:02 am

Let me be the first to say I hate them. Misty May and Kerry Walsh, the beach volleyball olympians (small"o"). Do these not particulary attactive women have to dominate the Olympics coverage right at prime time.

Does it have anything to do with them being mostly naked. I'm all for naked and I'm all for naked girls, LOL, but c'mon, this is gratuitous. The mens' beach volleyball team wears shirts and shorts and the girls, tiny little bikini's.

Oh, hey look, those girls are mostly naked, Let's make this stupid activity an Olympic sport and then we can make a bunch of money off them, says the NBC programming chief. Who gives a shit if the only reason anybody watches is to see a giraffe of a girl diving face first into the sand, legs spread, camera up her ass,,,,,,,,,, lots of guys watching, I expect not so many women watching. I do respect their competitiveness, but nothing else. Everytime they speak, yuk, arrogant.

Shit why don't they make those little gymnastic girls wear bikini's? How bout Speedos for the mens' beach volleyball team.

How bout we get rid of those arrogant, over exposed 6'7" girls and show some damn JUDO, now wouldn't that be nice.

Beach volleyball is "in" the Olympics and Baseball and Women's softball is "out" of the Olympics after these games. HUH? Those softball girls, now that is something I can respect. They rock!

Judo was "out", now apparently it's had a reprieve, but good luck finding some coverage. What's in and what's out is totally dictated by what NBC can cash in on.

Fuck it, they should have a beauty contest for Gold. Have all the Olympic qualifying women in tiny bikini's answering stupid questions about their talent, shaking their ass and showing their tits. Then, in the back ground, Bob Costas could be recounting every moment of their life, kindergarten teachers, coaches, parents.....................

Go Ian Crocker, Maine is pulling for you,

MAKE US PROUD!

I'm in a hurry, I've got to go to my sisters for dinner, her kid is here from San Diego. He's a good kid and I encouraged him to go. He worked for me and saved the money to "get gone".

Thanks Lily, due to the "new HDTV one man party", I had last night I almost, well I did forget about the jerky, left it in the oven, LOL. It's really good as usual, so easy to make.

What a day, I got up early, a little queasy due to the one man blah, blah, blah, but I was really motivated cuz it's sunny!, finally.

Worked like a slave from 730 till 1:00 and then we went boating, what a ball. I got some sun and I can feel it all over my body, I so love it. Riding around Casco Bay drinking a nice cold beer with some nice people and some friends, how nice.

Now I'm gonna fire up the 500 and go to dinner, got to love Summer

Gotta Go.

Cheers, GET SOME SUN THAT'S AN ORDER, LOL

Love you all

with about ten blogs, I've got a lot to say! A lot of "lame and boring", but fuck it, I like writing about it.

I'm making beef jerky in my convection oven, the oven is old and cranky but it makes good jerky, much better than the store stuff. Once you make it at home you'll never pay five bucks for a hand full of that crap again. I'm making Honey Garlic Barbecue/Schezwan(sp), funny combo, but the Chinese stuff adds heat and I like it really hot. Go Figure.

My kid loves the stuff and I was making some for him, I'm a little peeved because I don't see him except when he needs me........

I had to run out right in the middle of making the jerky it to get a HDTV box for my new TV so I can see the Olympics in HD. I got back and there he was, yes, my very own kid. He has vegetables in the back yard which we checked the progress of.............................................

I've got to interrupt this story to say, THE RED SOX ARE ROCKING, David Ortiz just hit his second three run homer in the first inning, it's ten zip, two outs, sweet. I live for this shit. All on my brand new HDTV which I got hooked up half and hour ago to watch the game and the Olympics.

So, My kid was here, nice surprise. He looked well and happy. He has broken through to the place where he can make some money and survive and actually have a little extra. Good for him. We made plans for dinner this week.

It was such a cool day, I researched my three unit for the Hysterical (historical) people at city hall so I can start a big rehab on my building. That will be fun, especially if I don't fall off the scaffold. When it's done I hope someone goes to the Maine Historical Society (different than the city) and researches me a hundred years from now and says, shit the dude bought it at 22 and re-did the entire building himself. Everything, inside and out. I think that cuz today I found out who was here a hundred years ago, very cool. Because it's a historical building I knew the original owners , but today I found out a Reverend lived here a hundred and ten or so years ago, a awning and tent maker a hundred and three years ago and a bookkeeper one hundred years ago. That is going to be the theme of my Labor Day Party. It's going to be in honor of Hugh H Lippan who live in my apartment one hundred years ago, how cool is that.

Funny the older we get the more important history is,right?

Moving right along......I got a new TV. The GF and I, who are getting along nicely thank you, went to Wal Mart in her town and I saw a TV I just wanted. I thought and thought about it and I went to Wallyworld here and holy cow, prices are falling, I thought it was a deal Sunday, it was a better deal on Tuesday. Sweet.

I left Walmart with my TV and went to Borders and had to suffer all those typical Borders shoppers, what a bunch, don't get me going on them. Anyway, I bought a Rough Planet Guide to South East Asia. I won't bore anyone here, but OMG, I'm so excited I might not be able to make it till the proposed date of departure.

I'm going to post about my findings so far concerning my trip to SE Asia. It's really something else.

I'm off to watch the Olympics

Go USA, GO Micheal Phelps, Go Ian Crooker (Maine kid)

Cheers
