Yummy! Yummy! I found a new favorite red wine this past Saturday at 'Summit Lake Winery' of Holts Summit, MO just across the river from Jefferson City, MO. The winery is relatively new and has only been in operation since 2002. If ever in central Missouri, treat yourself and stop by this winery to sample their offerings, both red and white. Jefferson City is the capitol city of Missouri. Perched on the bluffs surrounding the Missouri River, it is about 30 minutes from Columbia, MO.

While I sampled many of their wines, I really took a liking to their 'St. Andrew' red, a semi-dry, blended red wine made from the Norton and St. Vincent grapes. This wine is named after the local Catholic parish, and Summit Lake Winery is donating a dollar back to the parish for each bottle sold. I thought that was a nice gesture on the part of the winery.

I was fortunate enough to meet and talk with the owner. I learned that Summit Lake Winery is collaborating very closely with Adam Puchta Winery of Hermann, MO, another favorite winery of mine from my boyhood hometown. They have developed some interesting and mutually beneficial partnership arrangements that make a lot of business sense.

As you know, I can't give you the website, but you can find it by doing a 'Google' search for 'Summit Lake Winery'.

Oh, you're probably wondering what 'St. Andrew' red wine has to do with "womanizing" anyway! I can't tell you that! Just try the wine! You won't be disappointed!

LOL! I'm sure womanizing and wine can some how be tied together.

I know nothing about wine other than it's yummy, makes me feel nice and it's probably the one adult beverage I really enjoy.

BTW - the Comso you ordered for me and PrincessKarma was really good (thanks). I may add that to my list of adult beverages to enjoy every now and again!

Whispersoftly5 - Wine ALWAYS goes better when shared with a lovely lady! I've never known of an exception! Therefore, I think "womanizing" and "wine" are almost synonymous.
